Being a father can be difficult. It comes with a lot of responsibility, trial and error, and stress.

All of that gets doubled when your daughter is an alicorn.

Ever since Flurry Heart was born, Shining Armor has been going through a lot of stress trying to keep his daughter safe. Luckily, Princess Cadance has been by his side the entire time, keeping him sane and happy. However, when an important meeting takes Princess Cadance away from him, Shining Armor is left alone with Flurry Heart and all of the responsibility that comes with her.

It's not an easy job. Especially when Flurry Heart manages to sneak into the city without leaving a trace.

Sunset's friends finally ask her the question they still don't know the answer to: "What led to you coming here anyway?". It's a personal question for Sunset, but it's about time she tells them.
No, I'm not ignoring the comic. I'm just telling my headcanon on what happened before it.

When Apple Bloom discovers a strange phenomenon among the bushes outside of Canterlot High, she meets Apple Bloom, a talking pony no less, and together with their respective friends they venture out into the other world, exchanging places in an attempt to learn as much as they can about the strange new worlds without being found out as impostors.

But one such human has already begun to suspect, one who is a part of both worlds.

This story is a sequel to My Little Pony Equestria Girls 3: Twilight Vs Twilight

Still trying to find her place in the world Sunset Shimmer returns to Equestria in order to right the wrongs she committed there, however she finds it difficult to adjust back to the Pony lifestyle after being gone for so long. Then suddenly a masked villain captures Twilight, forcing Sunset Shimmer to lead the gang in order to save her as well as face her original sin.

A year after the Battle of the Bands, high school graduation is nearing and the girls are ready to face the world, though Sunset Shimmer worries that they might drift apart. But when Twilight's human self arrives and ends up getting infected with dark magic, they must call upon Princess Twilight once more to engage in a battle that will decide the fate of their worlds.

Princess Twilight is in her library and she finds a spell called Destinies For A Day. Twilight finds no harm in the spell...once she casted it of corse. It turns out that nothing happened, until she sees her friends. They have all become alicorns!!! Twilight is very confused as she flips through the book that she found the spell in. The next morning they are all back to normal, but to Twilight's surprise, they want to be alicorns again! (Yes even Rainbow Dash)

After discovering some more of Star Swirl’s unfinished spells, Twilight's curiosity causes her to cast one, in spite of Spike's warnings. To her surprise, the spell doesn’t seem to do anything. Frightened that perhaps she repeated her previous mistake from Magical Mystery Cure, she rushes to Ponyville only to find everything is as it should be. After this, she agrees not to try to fix any more spells and goes to sleep...

Only to wake up in the past.

Using this opportunity, she begins to correct past mistakes. There are some setbacks, but overall Twilight believes she is making the world better.

Yet as she seeks to fix the problems of her past, she will find that sometimes past mistakes are exactly what our future needs.

For those wondering about continuity with events in the show, chronologically, I'd say the events take place just before the episode Filli Vanilli. The basic outline of this story was actually planned out before season 4 began and much of it was written before the end of season 4.
