This story takes place in an AU called RGRE (Reversed Gender Role Equestria). If you're unsure of what that means, there's a group on fimfic that catalogues stories like these that might explain it best. But when Skybridge Tower is accidentally struck by an airship, they are amongst the first to arrive at the massive fire. And their bravery may cost them all dearly.

Princess Twilight Sparkle, ever the scholar, bookworm, egghead, friend of many finds herself in an alternate reality. A new world even. One devoid of magic as far as she can surmise but full of technological wonders beyond even her imagination. Even the color scheme there is rich and full of detail compared to the technicolor reality she knows and loves.

Of course, her arrival is met with pain and suffering which is often the case with mistakes of such magnitude. Can she find a way home? Will she find help to do so? Will she make friends in this new world as easily as she has in her own?

* Story will contain mostly slice of life fluff, relationship building, and romance after a rough beginning.

Three months had passed since the Crystal Plague ended not just the war for the Crystal Empire - but whatever whole of society that had remained. Cities and towns were laid to waste in mere days.

There were no winners.

A former soldier, nomading his way from place to place since the fall of the country, is saved from a close scrape with death by another fellow soldier - one he had never met.

When she mentions of a potential paradise within the country, they will both journey the remnants of the once proud land of Equestria - in hopes that they will one day find this promised land.

Sanctuary awaits.

Set in the alternate "Crystal War" universe, seen in the Season 5 finale. Contains romance, character development, and eventual romantic sex. Possibly rape at some point.

Rainbow Dash was the Iron Wing. She was a war hero, the Slayer of Shadows, the Liberator of the Crystal Empire, the Wrath of Celestia. And depending on who you ask, she still is.

But the war is over. There's little need for a pony like her in peacetime. So she keeps telling herself that she needs to adjust, that she needs to find a new role to fill in the world that she saved. But Equestria seems content to let her remain what she has become, even though they have no need of a warrior.

"This isn't how it's supposed to be", is something she keeps telling herself. But every time she says it, the only thing she can reply is, "so what should it be?"

One whole year after the close of the war, and Rainbow Dash still doesn't have the answer.

After moving to Ponyville, you met a celebrity known for her speed and for being a members of the council of friendship. You and her get along fine, she's your boss at work since you do weather stuff, and as of a week ago you and her have become close friends. She's invited you to her house. Why? The better question is why care, you're going to be in THE Rainbow Dash's house. Man, what could possibly go wrong?

Well, only one thing. You may not have noticed, but she's making moves on you. You, not being the brightest of bulbs, don't really get it, but Rainbow is stubborn, and she isn't going to give up after one try. So after inviting you to her house, something's bound to go wrong.

When Rainbow Dash, your best friend approaches you suddenly, clutching a stack of papers she claims to be a story that she wrote to her chest, what would you do?

Oh, there's also the fact that the characters in her story seem oddly familiar...
