Welcome to the Waste, a dry land of cacti and sagebrush, buffalo and ponies, radiation and taint. Life here was hard even before the war that tainted the land. Dehydration and lack of food will kill you almost as surely as the creatures, to say nothing of the bandits, raiders, and the general populace.

Out on the steppe, a mare struggles to find her place in this new and harsh world. Yet her task is complicated by roaming gangs, turf wars, crazed mystics, and puzzles nearly two centuries old. It takes strong stuff to survive in a land gone mad. Will she be guided towards her destiny? Or will her dried corpse serve as a warning to those who happen to find it?

As ash and cinder fell from the scorched remains of the heavens, the mare stared onward into a vast wasteland of desolation and misery. A veil of darkness began to consume the sky as the shadows slowly passed over her coat, consuming her glistening frame as it slowly plucked the individual stars that once gleamed with ebullience. As the clouds suffocated, the mare had vanished, leaving only a sullen shell of her former self...

(This is a Fallout: Equestria Side Story I had planned for quite some time. Comments and Constructive Criticism is valued)

Surprise is a young pegasus mare eking out a modest existence as a third-rate Enclave soldier in the Primum Mobile Military Base, a remote weather outpost on the edge of the cloud cover. Life in the Equestrian Wasteland below is a constant fight for survival, but above the clouds, the worst thing Surprise has to deal with are the hallucinations caused by her schizophrenia.
However, when the base discovers a hurricane is headed towards Enclave airspace, Surprise is among those sent into action to try and intercept it. As Surprise quickly learns, though, the impending tempest is no ordinary storm. Rather, it is a militarized pegasus city from before the Great War, possessing enough prewar wonders and horrors to make whoever gains control of it the most powerful pony in the sky...if the city doesn't completely destroy the aerial nation of the Enclave.

Update: Recently O. Hinds, the esteemed editor for Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, was amazing enough to read what currently exists of my story. Here's what he had to say about it, which he has given me permission to share:

“While at times Storm Chasers seems to me an odd story in a way that I cannot seem to put my hoof on, this is only a different quality, not an inferior one. I have found the plot and characters to be interesting, and the mechanical quality of the prose is quite impressive, particularly given Chaotic Dreams's lack of an editor; in Chapter 2 (the latest at this message's time of writing), I noticed only a few errors, and, while it has been much longer since I've read the first chapter, I do not recall anything particularly bad in that, nor did I see frequent errors in the skim I undertook just now. Oh, and the illustrations are pretty good.”

30 years before the events of the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows, and the Equestrian Wasteland is much the same as it's always been. Except it's not. Not in a mysterious section of the wasteland known only as the Zone, where only the craziest of ponies live and strange forces twist reality.

The ponies of the Zone are struggling to get by with their rapidly dwindling resources, a strange light has appeared in the sky that has not been seen within living memory and violently thrust into this new world is Buckler, a (now ex-) slaver with a talent for shielding. The Zone, and the Wasteland, will soon be changed forever, and there won't be any place in a world of corruption and evil for a pony whose calling is protecting people.

Stalliongrad

The city in the frozen north stood for centuries as one of Equestria's oldest settlements. It was largely untouched by the war that ravaged the rest of the land, though it was not without it's secrets.

Rainbow Dash is one of those secrets.

Note: This story can be read and understood easily without reading the original Fallout Equestria (which you can find here)

Wicked Cut, a Tribal pony learning to be civilized, faces exile from his hometown to 'learn how to be a better pony'. Can he survive the Wasteland long enough to gain the knowledge and experience he needs to earn his place? Set in a post-Battle of Sunshine and Rainbows Equestria, this story will follow its protagonist through caves grimly holding the last of their radiation, abandoned pre-war facilities, and even to the clouds above.

Finishing Touch, a Smooze, a creature with a past unknown and a future uncertain. With the most unlikely of companions , the young gryphon cub Featherjoy and the Professor Osmosis

Based on the original fanfiction Fallout Equestria by kkat and set during the events of Fallout Equestria: Starlight by volrathxp.

The Wasteland, a horrible, cruel, and unforgiving land. The ponies that make up this dark and cruel place only make it worse.
My name is Shadow Wind. I came out here, out of the safe stable, to make a difference, to better things. The system sucked me in and didn't intend to let me go. But intend to beat the system, show them the error of their ways. Cleansing is needed, and forever after I will live as...

The Shadow.

I've heard a lot of talk about virtues. It hurt me that I could never find mine, I felt like that was the only thing keeping me from breaking down and giving up... That sweet day I learned what I was born for, that's why I do what I do.

(Takes place in Kkat's world of Fallout: Equestria. However, the wasteland was never cleansed. However, mentions to Security or the Stable Dweller will be made. I do give thanks to Kkat for making this wonderful world for all of us to play in!)

Well would you look at that, some art with Shadow in it. Thank you so much to spongebob1000 for bringing his work to the table.

They say war never changes...I'm inclined to believe them...

After the actions of The Stable Dweller the wasteland began the long road to recovering from the destruction set upon it 206 years ago. I left stable 13 looking for excitement in my life but ended up caught in a plot to destroy Equestria all over again with a deadly, yet dormant artifact of a paranoid age long past. I know I left the stable for excitement but I never expected what I got...

My names Dragonlily...here's my story...

Let's talk a little about apocalypse ideation.

Have you ever wanted the world to end?

Imagine if everything that was wrong with your life - every entrenched system of messed-up people and processes - was wiped away in an instant, replaced with the kind of problems you can just put a bullet in. Wouldn't it be nice, to know for certain that your actions matter? To walk in the middle of the road, without looking both ways?

That's the great lie of post-apocalyptic stories: that life gets easier.

Imagine if everything that was wrong with your life was suddenly replaced with the kind of problems you can make friends with. Wouldn't it be nice, to know for certain that you are the best at something in the whole wide world? To be adrift, in a sea of pastel?

The very idea that Fallout and My Little Pony could be in any way connected is inherently absurd. And yet, to a certain kind of person, they tell the same lie.
