Every citizen of the Crystal Empire seemed to go through memory loss after the 1,000 years banishment. What if King Sombra did as well?

King Sombra ruled with an iron hoof in the Crystal Empire. He had big dreams of world domination and, in his mind, they were cut short by a couple of wanna-be rulers who don't even understand how monarchies work much less the world beyond their borders.

Now deposed, and with a to-do list that keeps growing King Sombra is going to have to work harder than ever to restore his former glory. If, that is, he can get out from under the hooves of the princesses that defeated him in the first place. If not, well, maybe he'll annoy them enough to force them to let him go.

Their secret affair was always forbidden, yet at the same time, they were meant to be. Such a horrible paradox. This is the story of the beginning and the end of Princess Celestia's tragically perfect love life.

A rather boring day for princess Celestia becomes a day of worry for her as one of her guards come in with news she wishes she never hears, but being the princess that is concerned for the safety of her ponies, she sends the mane 6 to free the Crystal Empire.

Meanwhile, the ex-ruler of said empire is busy pursuing his hobby: Expanding his Sombrero collection

Just a silly one shot fic that I decided to come up with because hey, why not? Sombrero is best pony, right?

Dr. Whooves is worried. A time disturbance is radiating out from the Frozen North, it's origin a thousand years before his and Derpy's time. He knows from these facts alone it must have something to do with the tomb of the Crystal Empire and more notably, King Sombra. But how does one reach a place time-locked under a hundred million tons of ice? And why does Princess Celestia and Princess Luna insist Sombra's sentence is for eternity? The answers lie with a Marazon TimeWitch who claims she not only knew King Sombra, but was his consort. Can Whooves keep her from killing the Two Sisters long enough to convince her his way of fixing time is better than the alicorn blood she feels she must spill?

Unsettling dreams are starting to worry Princess Luna. She is positive these dreams hold an ominous portent for all of Equestria, but there is only one stallion who knows for certain the answers she seeks. King Sombra has been imprisoned again in Shadow since his defeat and the shattering of his body, but he is no less cunning and ruthless. And as Luna tries to interrogate him over time, she finds there is a softer side to the unicorn king, one nopony has seen before. But Celestia fears for her younger sister, warning Luna against Sombra's advances. Is the once-tyrant truly starting to court Princess Luna...or is she simply being used as a pawn in his plans to regain power?

At the height of the Dark Crystal Empire, the King of Shadows sits down to do his accounts, because even a totalitarian dictatorship cannot suppress taxponies.

But as he tries desperately to get through the impenetrable paperwork, Sombra finds himself the victim of a magically manifesting bird. Because of course he does.

I have no idea why I wrote this.

Tirek's brother Scorpan never really accepted his brother could wander so far off the good path. Deluded and crazed from missing him, he has one simple goal: break his brother out. To do that, he will need magic beyond anything he's seen before. DARK magic.

With the discovery that Sombra is not only the lone survivor of the Umbrum race, but may not have been completely destroyed, he sets out to locate what remains of Sombra's horn. From this he is able ressurect the former tyrant and keep him captive. Day by day, draining his magic. But thats just the start. He has other plans for the Umbrum pony's magic abilities...

When a passing bird finds its way into the cave, it delivers this news to Fluttershy. On Celestia's orders she and the others go to find Sombra and try stop Scorpan's plans.

But the Sombra they bring back to Canterlot isnt the former foe they once knew. Lost and afraid, his mind fractured by Scorpan's torture, Sombra seems out of thier reach. Now they have to race against an incoming doom to try and heal the broken King before it reaches Canterlot.

But how will things fare when Discord gets invovled? Can his unorthodox methods break Sombra's nightmares into dust and get him on his feet, or will the unicorn finally lose hope?

Politics are delicate. Any wrong move could spiral into something horrible. Celestia is no novice and knows her way around politicians from other countries. Yet now, when Equestria is slowly nearing a direct conflict with a bordering nation, Taurusia, home of the Minotaurs, she comes in contact with Sombra.

He reveals a great deal of information to her. How he faked his own death. How he influenced the battle against Tirek. How he became King of Tartarus. And now, after finally accomplishing his goal of ruling the forsaken realm of Tartarus, he comes by to request an alliance with Equestria.

All that Sombra truly wants is fame. Whether it be as a hero or a villain, he just wishes his position as King of Tartarus to be known. And so Celestia is given a choice. She can either make him an ally, somepony who could certainly come in handy given circumstances, or reject his offer and make him spread his name in infamy instead.

She makes the only choice she can. She only wishes it was the right one.

Celestia X Sombra fic

Will be heavily comedy with hints of dark elements early on. Later in the story it will be flip around and be mostly dark with some comedy.
