"Wow you have WINGS?!" Pinkie pie gawked in shock at the white pegasus that she had behold in such an odd way. The white pegasus nodded cheerfully and giggled happily. Finally Pinkie Pie thought of one of her famous and dazzling ideas as she shrieked with happiness. The white pegasus tilted her head in confusion as Pinkie Pie hollered loudly,
"I have an idea!"

The story of Country Fiddle's (or also known as "Fiddlesticks" or "The Fiddler Pony" or, appearantly, "Greensleeves" or "Viola") life. All her adventures, from when she is born, up until the "Apple Family Reunion" is told here.

(I want it to be let known, that as far as I saw, I was the first to take on any major or minor deep intrest in this pony, in story or art, in an original way (e.i. not just seeing her as a minor background pony with the same design as Octavia)--save perhaps my first fan-fic, The Fiddler, which was written a week before the Apple Family Reunion episode, and posted on-line the day before that episode aired. I hardly mean this to sound vain, but merely that I am very happy and proud to have done this before any major or minor hype about her; despite its, so far, unpopular legacy....)

(And, for any pony who may read this story as it grows steadily into what will surely be quite the didactic tale of a young pony's life, from famous fillyhood to forgotten marehood, and her younger sister's hard life with thier family grown torn and indifferent, may, before its yarn is complete, want to refer to a hint to her life as told from her own mouth in The Fiddler.)

It has been several months since the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle..

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room. From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing. And so, Twilight begins her tale. A tale of survival against impossible odds. A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings. The right to exist.

Why, hello there! Can't say that I've seen you around before. Welcome to Ponyville Library. Let me know if you need help with anything. Oh, right. Where are my manners? My name is Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia of Equestria and resident librarian. Oh, and some might call me the laziest unicorn in Ponyville.

Heh. They're just jealous. Try the laziest unicorn in all of Equestria. And that's a title I'm most proud to bear, thank you very much. What's that? Why, you ask? Well. Let me tell you about the time that I accidentally managed to save Equestria.

Several times, actually.

Chaotic Note, a traveling pony, needs a heart transplant fast, and he gets stuck in the worst scenario ever. Getting operated by the drunkest mare in Ponyville, Berry Punch. Oh, and he's awake while this operation goes underway. This will probably not end well. Oh, and a certain Doctor is at the intoxicated mare's mercy as well.

After a late night of studying, Twilight Sparkle finds herself desperately wishing she could just get some sleep. However, she has class that day and, being the student that she is, she's not about to miss it over something as unimportant as sleep! However, when she gets to her class she discovers that staying awake may be a bit harder than she thought...
Note: I was inspired to write this right after I fell asleep in a class where we were discussing Alice in Wonderland. Go figure.

Nightmare Moon. Discord. Chrysalis. Sombra. We faced them all, together. Always we were together. Yet in one heart-stopping moment, I almost lost everything. They don't know how close it was, but I do. I alone know what almost happened. The truth. And the truth about the truth? It keeps me up at night.

And it terrifies me beyond anything else this world can offer.

But at least I have my friends to make it all feel better.
