Technically a prequel to my other fic, The Twilight Prince: Redux, and uses common worldbuilding, but should be readable as a stand alone one-shot.

When anon woke up he didn't expect an adorable yellow pony to stare at him in his bed. Scratch that, he didn't expect a talking yellow pony in his bed.

Now what will they do?

Decided to do write something cute instead of whatever the hell my other story is. I might write some stuff here whenever I feel like I'm too burnt out from my other story.

Romance in this story is a big maybe.

Twilight and her friends were invited to celebrate Hearths Warming at the Crystal Empire, abandoning Spike in the process. Spike is sad and wonders what he should do. Then, bad things start to happen around Ponyville and the Everfree Forest. Can spike with the help of a new friend of his stop these bad things before it hurts everyone in Equestria?

The San Francisco Police Department never called Adrian Monk for the easy cases. And this was one of the weirdest.

A top scientist had been found dead...at least, the part they found. He had been found lying with half of his body inside what appeared to be some sort of portal...and the other half? No one knew. Foul play was not suspected until it was revealed that his assistant was also missing, along with a device that could have dire implications for the Multiverse...
