Applejack loved her mother ever since the day she was born. Pear Butter always wanted to see everything in Appleloosa after she was away for so long. When Applejack gets the day off from her daily work, her mother offers her to spend the day in Appleloosa. Her daughter loves her idea because a lot happened when she was gone. Not only the surprises await her, but the activities will improve their loving bond.

Bright Mac spends his time in Sweet Apple Acres by getting all the apples from their trees. But when it comes to being a father, he misses Applejack and Big Mac the most when he was away with his wife. When he gets the chance to take time off from his daily routine, he takes his daughter and son out for a walk to express his feelings towards them. While he also tries to fit in Ponyville after the times he was away.

There are many peaceful places in Equestria, and Sweet Apple Acres would likely be described as one of the most peaceful ones. But it is a fact of life that no safety is guaranteed. And the Acres were no exception to that rule.

On the first night of Zap Apple season, a fire broke out in the orchard, forcing Applejack’s parents, Bright Mac and Pear Butter, to rush out to combat it to save the farm. On any other night, this would have been the end to the danger for them. But as it stood, the timber wolves found them, and had them trapped. They would have died that night…

They said those things to Bright Mac and Pear Butter. They laughed and shrugged it off, and... well, we all know how that turned out.

They said those things to Applejack, too. But she didn't listen. And now she's running for her life from a pack of the ravenous beasts, lost in the dark and with no one around to help her.

But she's not afraid. Not tonight.
