Based on those "Not Doing Harmful Things" memes all over Deviantart, written on a whim. Wasn't sure I was gonna post this, then I saw somebody else do something similar and figured, what the hell, why not? Also, no offense to Dan-The-Jerk, his story is cute and wonderfully written and all, but I'm fed-up with stories where Rainbow is this damaged mare who needs help healing her broken widdle heart. Are you kidding me!? She's freakin' Rainbow Dash!

I was the first human to come to Equestria, and I will be the first to die here.

My name is Able, and in five days I will die, leaving behind a filly that looks to me for everything.

These are my last days.

Equestria's magic is gone.

Without magic, equine society collapses.

Without magic, nothing grows.

Without magic, ponies can't even stand up on their own.

Equestria's only hope for survival lies in the mysterious ape-like creatures that arrived when the magic left.

Unable to communicate or take care of itself, the pony population finds itself reduced to livestock to a race that knows nothing about them.

As humankind tries to find out where these creatures come from and why they are here, one pony is just trying to come to terms with his new status, while his 'owners' learn how to take care of him.

You've been dating Sonata Dusk, a siren from another world, for about 8 months now. But after coming home from a long day at work at the supermarket during the winter season, you find her drinking out of something that you never expected to see in your life.

Rainbow Blitz falls for the quiet and bookish Dusk Shine, but nothing goes as planned for the poor pegasus, and he becomes a victim of intolerance and prejudice, with betrayal lurking around every corner. In the meantime, Dusk doesn't know what he should do, this is something he has to work out by himself.

Spike opens up to Twilight about his struggles with his gender identity.

Admitting you're not what others expect of you is difficult. Admitting you're not what you expect of yourself is even harder. And some things don't have simple answers. Spike can't figure out if his time in Ponyville has changed him, or if he was never quite what he imagined he would be in the first place.

We take a look at the various antics of both Dusk shine and Rainbow Blitz during Hearth's Warming Eve holiday season.

This is my first time writing stories so some helpful or harsh criticism would be appreciated.

Fluttershy comes out to the rest of the bearers of the Elements as a trans mare. This story follows what happens next: with her, with the mare she's fallen in love with, with the Mane Six, and with respect to their friendship.

This was (and remains, for that matter) my first fic, and was an attempt to apply concepts of transgender identity to Equestria. I felt like a world as accepting of, well, everything as Equestria tends to be would be a fascinating place to explore identity. I hope it worked!

(I wrote this before reading Dash's Secret (by Hopefox), but if you enjoyed this story, I can't recommend Dash's Secret highly enough. It engages with some of the same issues, but is (IMHO) better written than mine. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/1876/Dash%27s-Secret)

A note: "trans mare" refers to somepony assigned male at birth and raised as a colt who comes to identify as a mare later in life. I'm following human usage here.
