While singing her villain song, Opaline accidentally opens a line of communication with Misty. This quickly devolves into a conversation about the aspects of Opaline's songwriting...and, for some reason, movie villains.

(Honestly, this was something that popped in my head. Please don't take it too seriously.)

Cadance just got done dealing with the end of the world. Turns out, it never stops ending.

Another piece that's more concept than story. Here, I try to place Cadance into the world in a way that makes sense to the confusing mess of headcanon I've got up here in this noggin of mine.

Trixie has passed. Starlight Glimmer has to deal with this. But the curtains were blue.

Learned the term curtain fic recently. This isn't one of those, but the term made me think of that old "well maybe the curtains were just blue" thing that folks used to say so they wouldn't have to analyze stories or themes. So I used it to try and build a story and it's themes.

When Starlight makes a simple mistake, she's left to think about her wrongdoings all alone.

Well, not completely alone. She soon finds a friend in the pony she hurt—accidentally! She wouldn't do anything wrong on purpose.

She did nothing wrong.

Twilight's castle has gone through many wild and life altering changes over the years. What once was a simple library was now the seat of a princess and her council. Not only that, over the years it's played host to so many new and interesting people; each one memorable in their own way.

Which makes it all the stranger that there's this pony tending to the books lately that nobody seems to know... But she seems so familiar!

With only one minion to her name, Opaline finds herself in a bind when Misty falls ill. Cooking, cleaning, and infiltrating Maretime Bay for medicine become the least of Opaline's problems as she contemplates exactly what Misty means to her – or rather, as she tries to not contemplate it.

Self-doubt is unbecoming for a perfect alicorn, after all.

Now that Misty feels comfortable enough to discuss the topic, her new friends will find out just how deep the damage goes.
