When Nightmare Moon was trapped on the moon, she was feeling alone and had time to think about her actions that resulted in her being where she is now. She just didn't expect to find a mate, who, coincidentally, was also on the moon. And over time, Nightmare Rarity begins to develop feelings for Nightmare Moon.

This story takes place shortly after Princess Luna's release from Nightmare Moon in Season 1 Episode 2.

Rarity is surprised when the newly returned Princess Luna comes in to her shop.

The last time they met was when Twilight faced down Nightmare Moon.

Has she come seeking revenge or does she have another reason?

Rarity never really thought of Luna as a friend; they've barely ever even spoken. When Luna decides to step in when Rarity starts working herself to death and obsessing over her career, the pair grow closer than either them or anyone they know ever expected. Feelings unfamiliar to Rarity and painfully familiar to Luna bloom betwixt the two, but they both go about their lives as they try to make sense of it all.

Inspired by, based on, and a gift for the blog Ask Luna and Rarity. And the person who stole the url can go to hell.

The problem about reaching the pinnacle of one's career is that there's nowhere to go from there but down.

Technically a sequel to Luna in the Sky with Diamonds and Marshmallow Fluff, but only in that this uses the same versions of Luna and Rarity, so reading those are not required.

How Rarity and Luna became good friends... and then some! Pretty short, and I'm not planning on going on any further.

So, Lightybulb, an amazing tumblr artist, ( http://lightybulb.tumblr.com/ ) posted on her "ask Luna and Rarity" tumblr blog ( http://ask-luna-and-rarity.tumblr.com/ ) that she couldn't find any RariLuna fics, and that she really wants one. I haven't made a fanfic in a while, and I was dying to do one. So, I decided to make one for Lighty!

This is an OLLLLLD draft from something like 2014, and I now plan to edit it and make it better.

For Rarity, waking up with split ends is the absolute worst thing ever. Unfortunately, a mysterious stallion proves otherwise when he warns her that Armageddon is approaching and Equestria is doomed, and if that happens, she can kiss her well-coiffed mane farewell. Now the timeline is splitting worse than Rarity's hair as our intrepid heroine travels back again...

and again...

and again in order to save the world, with perhaps a smidgen of help from Princess Luna. And if she happens to find the time for a trip to the spa along the way, well... A mare can't be blamed for wanting to look her best, can she?
