And so our tale goes back to long before Trixie was Great and Powerful... back when she was simply a teenage babysitter trying to earn a few extra bits.

Starlight Glimmer works as a guidance consoler in the School of Friendship and is sitting bored in her office one day with a cup of hot chocolate. Ever since Cozy Glow had ask for her advice about her situation with the CMC (Cutie Mark Crusaders). Starlight Glimmer had high hopes for another student with an even bigger problem than Cozy. Her wish comes true when a student named Sweetie Swirl comes into her office and asks for her advice about her future and her parents.

'What d'you mean, 'roses are red'?' Twilight’s two closest confidants, Starlight and Spike, help her realise that there are some things she can never comprehend, some things she will never see, and some things she must learn to live with - but her reaction is not what they expect.

Doing the chores in a large building like the Castle of Friendship is a hassle. Fortunately, Starlight volunteered to do the laundry for the evening. Now all she has to do is to do the job correctly, something a talented unicorn like herself can't mess up... right?

It's Starlight's first time alone in the castle. As the darkness closes in and old demons return to torment her, Starlight cries out in hopes that someone will hear. Can Twilight rescue her student from the darkness before it takes her for good this time?

(Takes place between seasons five and six.)

Twilight Sparkle always thought that friendship (and by association, magic) was the strongest force in the universe. But what happens when she finds something even stronger?

Unable to stop Starlight Glimmer's plan to stop the Sonic Rainboom, Twilight Sparkle and Spike pleaded desperately for her to stand down. In canon, Starlight relented at the last second and consequently reformed.

But what would have happened if Starlight gave a different reaction to Twilight's friendship offer and hoof?

Spoiler alert: it ended with one of them in roaring laughter.
