After a night of drinking far too much hard cider for their own good, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack awoke to find themselves with wedding bands on their horn and hoof (respectively), a legally-binding document on the bedside table, and a very embarrassing videocassette of a drunken Las Pegasus wedding ceremony. Now, Princess Celestia has summoned Twilight Sparkle and Applejack to her quarters, to have a little word with them about this situation...

This bit of silliness came from reading Darth Link 22's story, "About Last Night". After posting a couple of random comments about Celestia and Luna's possible reactions to the wedding video which were, apparently, funny enough to cause at least one person to nearly choke on their coffee when they read them, I felt inspired enough to expand on it. Two cans of Monster "Absolute Zero" later, this wacky little vignette somehow materialized out of my addled brain... Note that this is not canon as far as Darth's story is concerned! (Although he is certainly welcome to steal any bits he likes from it if he wants to.) Just think of it as a "deleted scene" on the DVD.

This would take place sometime after chapter six, A Most Forgettable Evening, so ideally you should have read at least that far into it before reading this. (And really, you should be reading it anyway, 'cause it's freakin' hilarious. ) If you just need a quick refresher, chapter two, Feel The Love, is where the wedding video is described.

Rainbow Dash has been absent for longer and longer periods of time, but nopony knows why. Feeling her absence perhaps more than she would like to admit, Applejack decides to find out exactly why her friend seems so distracted and why she seems to be avoiding everypony.

You know you're in love when you can't stop dreaming about that pony...
And Applejack will make sure Rainbow Dash dreams about her. Whether she likes it or not.

This is a one-shot and then there's an epilogue/alternative ending. It's not really needed for you to read the epilogue. Some prefer the way the original chapter ends better.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack grow old together. Rainbow Dash has a problem with that.

She doesn't want to grow old.

Applejack is facing a dilemma. She's been asked a question by her best friend that she doesn't know how to respond to:

“Applejack, do you want to go on a date?!"

She decides to ask her friends for help, one by one, and learns more about herself and the connection she and Rainbow Dash share together.

Of all the trees in Sweet Apple Acres, there is one tree that stands out. A tree with a marked carving that symbolizes the love between two ponies. When Applejack found herself falling in love with her best friend, she knew it would be the best place to share her feelings. Only that tree became so much more in their love life.

Rainbow Dash had hoped that when Applejack came home, it would be a warm and happy reunion between the two lovers after AJ returned from the latest Apple Family Reunion. However, Rainbow Dash learns that AJ and her immediate family are no longer Apples. They are now clanless and it's all because of her.

Yet sometimes, true family lies not in blood, but in love.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack had been together for many years now. First as rivals, then best friends, and now marefriends. Neither can deny that the years they have been together have been the best in their lives. Now Applejack wants to make it permanent. After months of planning it out, Applejack finally has asked Rainbow Dash for her hoof in marriage.

She never expected Dash to say "I can't".
