It's finally here: summer vacation. The girls celebrate by gathering all their friends (-ish) and piling into a bunch of cars to drive down to Miami Beach for what is hopefully an amazing weekend. Unfortunately, they have to get there. Which involves five cars, eighteen teenage girls, and thirteen hundred miles.

One car, in fact, the very last car, is a hodgepodge of stragglers: Adagio Dazzle, not wanting to spend eight hours a day in a car with her sisters; Sugarcoat, by virtue of being late to the party; Trixie Lulamoon, the tagalong; Maud Pie, who just wanted to spend time with her friend Trixie; and Sunset Shimmer, the unfortunately generous soul who decided to drive them all.

Here's hoping her generosity lasts longer than that cliff edge does.

With rent skyrocketing and developers too cautious to build new homes in an unsteady economy, Sunset and her friends jump on the opportunity to buy affordable housing. But when their personal spaces start overlapping and everyone sees a little too much, things get a little uncomfortable.

But maybe by working together, they can find a way to discover a new comfort level. After all, in this economy, it's sink or swim.

This story is a sequel to My past does not define me

It's been one month since Anon-A-Miss' reign of terror through the school. One month since the school was divided. One month since Sunset was framed and persecuted by her fellow students. One month since the CMC admitted their involvement, and were punished.

Sunset should be thrilled, after all her name was cleared and everyone's been bending over backwards to make it up to her. This should be something that brings the entire school together and make her friendships stronger.
But it hasn't.

Sunset feels more alone than ever now. Having lost all trust for the girls assigned to teach her and believing her past will always haunt her, no matter how much she tries to show she's changed.

With the Friendship Games coming up, can CHS band together and defeat Crystal Prep? Will Sunset be able to forgive her fellow students and friends? How is the CMC going to make up for their mistake?
