When a mysterious cult of ponies kidnaps Button Mash and takes him to a mysterious island to be sacrificed, the Mane Six, along with four stowaways, set out to save him and find out why he of all ponies was targeted. However, the reasons behind this may bigger, stranger, and more malicious than anything the ponies could ever imagine. The Dark Entity is asserting its dominance over their world once again.
(The title is clearly a reference to "Hades Persistence," the title of an episode to Beyblade Metal Fury.)

The war pressed ever northwards, and Luna lead as the tip of that spear. Before her lay the abandoned town, Snow Vale. A safe pass through the mountains. A staging ground to strike at the Empire's very heart.

In this sequel to Window Repairs, Discord goes to Tatarus and confronts Tirek over how he tricked Discord into believing there was something more valuable than friendship.

Discord is not the villain, not a monster as he is called, no Celestia, sun princess of Equestria, is far worse, in fact, she's the reason behind his existence, his need to spread chaos. Discord, a crooked immortal who only seeks balance.

Also keep in mind that Fluttershy is only really hinted at and is only mentioned at the end, just as Luna is not a main concern of Discord's either, as he has his eyes, and revenge, on one pony in particular.

Author's note: For the record, I don't hate all TCB fics. My problem is with the ones that depict humans as irredeemable bastards whose only hope for salvation is to convert themselves into talking horses. They piss me off. They really piss me off.

Spike was left alone in Manehatten, blamed himself for the breezies and Twilight, his practical big sister, completely ignored him when he was scared to death in the Everfree Castle. Realizing that no one may care about him anymore, Spike thinks that he is no longer needed and tries to kill himself.

Spike never really wanted to be a magical mare, but he has since gotten over it after making his contract. Now, he rather enjoys being the hero and keeping Ponykind safe from harm. Celestia did entrust him with the mission of hunting down monsters after all, and he had no desire to fail his princess.

Well, at least, not before being confronted by Fluttershy, telling him he was stupid for making the magical mare contract.

Spike begins to wonder if all the feats he performs for society are worth anything.
