Sombra may have been defeated after his attempt to retake the Crystal Empire, but he was not destroyed. He still lives, and now he seeks to work his way into the mind of Princess Twilight Sparkle. As she struggles with the implications of her new immortality, she finds less comfort in the wise words of Princess Celestia, and is drawn to the dark magic of a fallen king.

Would you rather die, or become a slave to darkness?

NB: This is a continuation of a comic dub I found on youtube. You can find the link here and there. You MUST watch it before reading this, otherwise it won't make any sense haha. Also, I'm yet to come up with a decent description of this so it may change at some point, as will the tags.
This takes place in the same universe as the IDW Comics that featured Rarity turning into Nightmare Rarity.
Dialogue sentences that appear in italic is the conglomerated voice that gets mentioned, so don't get it confused with normal dialogue or words that appear in italic in the middle of other sentences.

On a dark and foggy night, Twilight receives some visitors. That is the last anyone ever hears from her.

All of of her friends and family go on a desperate search to find her, but it is all to no avail and they give up on the search. Years turn into centuries, eventually adding up to a thousand years since her disappearance, but Equestria has never forgoten her.

After a thousand years, Twilight returns with no memory of who or where she is. Her captors give her a new name and title for her, but not only that, but she has also been given an assignment, to destroy Princess Celestia.

But is there something much more to her captor than just ruling Equestria? With the help of a group of friends, one princess will see just how magic can be used, whether for good,

or evil.

Twilight Sparkle has always bargained for things. Whether it be books, or pleas for help. But this time, there really is such such thing as "getting more then you bargained for." When Twilight had attempted to dig into King Sombra's past, somehow, he had just enough of his soul left to enter Twilight's mind. Now feelings Twilight shows toward her friends are cold and distant, and she wants to take over the world. Because she knows the existence of Sombra, she thinks he is making her feel these things.

Or were they awakened?

Sombra,waking and again finding himself inside the ice cold prison finds he has not been locked up alone...

A tale of friendship, love, madness, heartbreak and of course, the darkness inside us all that waits for just the right moment to consume us.

Twilight Sparkle, just like every other pony, thought King Sombra was over and dealt with, but she couldn't be more wrong. He returns, and plans to make Twilight his queen so he can take over Tartarus, and then, Equestria. As Twilight and her friends struggle to find a way to save Equestria and Twilight herself, buried secrets surface and hidden pasts are revealed.
Can Twilight be saved in time, or will her sanity break?

That morning was just like every morning, get up, get out of bed, take shower, brush teeth. Only difference for Shining Armor, he isn't himself. Or SHE isn't herself!

This Story is a one shot inspired by the stories picture. the colors, the image, the design, it just made me urge to write this, So please enjoy and comment, and maybe i might write more.
