When I first started writing The Shadow Within, I started it with an intended direction and just wrote the chapters on a wheekly whim, just doing whatever came to mind.

Over the six weeks writing that story went on, I found myself lacking ideas to include and ultimately the direction I was taking went awry. So I thought about it, and decided to wrap it up because it was just going nowhere fast.
