Lightning Dust is hit with the worst part of her life after her failure with The Wonderbolts. She can't keep a stable job, can't keep trustworthy friends, and can't keep ponies from looking down upon her for her failures.

She hates Rainbow Dash, despite having blame in her own mistakes, she can't forgive what Dash's involvement in her life has done to her. She sets out to settle the score. Though, along the way, she meets a pony who puts a stop to her reckless abandonment.

This story deals with a Lightning Dust at her lowest, so there is a lot of swearing and heavy themes.

After cleaning up her act Lightning Dust is given her chance to fly as a Wonderbolt alongside Rainbow Dash and the others. Things do not go as she planned.

When Lightning receives her Wonderbolt nickname, she'll do anything to prove she isn't what it entails. This leads to some unfortunate circumstances.

A short story based on the concept of "Newbie Dash" but for Lightning Dust. Expect some mentions from that episode.

Shortly after Twilight Sparkle ascended into the throne in Canterlot, Starlight Glimmer has essentially taken Twilight's place in Ponyville. It's a lot less chaotic as well, Trixie may be a hoof full and all but she's settled in quite well.

However, a routine day for the unicorn goes off track with a few unexpected visitors. Thankfully for Starlight, she knows a thing or two about having been on the wrong side of Twilight and her friends. When a new but familiar arrival shows up feeling anxious perhaps a little chat about common lives will help. Especially after they realize she also has had her fair share of confrontations with the elements.

Three years. Three years since that one day that ruined her life.

Bitter, unemployed and penniless, Lightning Dust couldn't go one block without being whispered about until she reached Manehattan. Her last chance comes in the form of an advertisement looking for speedy delivery ponies.

But what will happen when her trial run involves facing her demons?

Two years ago, Rainbow Dash stole Lightning Dust's dream from her. While the Element Bearer went on to become a Wonderbolt, Lightning Dust faded into obscurity. She worked what jobs she could find, but, bitter and broken, she spent more of her evenings inside the bar than outside of it. For two years, her dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt were just that: dreams, shattered and empty.

Then one night, Rainbow Dash reentered Lightning's life. The conversation that followed would lead Lightning on a second chance to achieve her dreams. But she never could have imagined what else she'd find along the way.

Rainbow Dash was always concentrated on getting better, faster, more agile. She never had time for stallions or mares, and both mind and body complied.

But you can't help who you fall in love with. It was just unfortunate for her that the other pony had to be Lightning Dust, and their friendship would shortly thereafter be forever severed.
