When Lightning receives her Wonderbolt nickname, she'll do anything to prove she isn't what it entails. This leads to some unfortunate circumstances.

How would I know, they never mention it in the episode. She just whispers her name into Dash's ear and that's it. It is never spoken out loud. Some people have speculated, but I simply went with what they did in the episode, just with a different pony.
Oh, okay. That's one secret nobody will know.
Nice little story. Sort of makes me think of a story I heard from former SEAL Jocko Willink about the slagging that happens in the military. Properly done, it builds deep comradery, but it only works if both parties know there's mutual respect. I appreciate that they saw a Dash 2.0 moment coming and headed it off at the pass.
