I've seen it happen before. Ponies get bit and come nighttime, they turn. 

I dunno if they're even really alive at that point, but I know they're strong as an angry bull. It's like they don't care about anypony else anymore, not even themselves. They bite. They've got these fangs and they bite like a rabid dog. 

I turn to look at Rainbow. They got her, too. But we were quick. We got rid of the wing they got 'er at. I think… I think that'll help.

Rainbow Dash lives through a repetitive nightmare. She just wants it all to stop.

Written for a Quills and Sofas Speedwriting panic where we were given a list of randomly generated drawing prompts to pick from and write with. I won’t list the ones I used because I ended up using multiple. Very few minor changes were made to this story.

While on her way home from a day with her friends, Apple Bloom runs into Twilight on a trip to Zecora's hut. After insisting to join her, little Apple Bloom gets lost in the woods after chasing a mysterious mare hiding amongst the poison joak. She stumbles upon a town completely isolated within the Ever Free Forest, but something about this town just doesn't feel right...

Everypony hears stories about the forest. How it's "haunted" or "cursed" or filled with terrifying animals. How nopony who goes in ever comes out. Of course, these stories are all nonsense meant to amuse tourists. The forest most certainly isn't haunted or cursed or filled with terrifying animals.
There is something far worse.
Note: My first real attempt at writing something for Halloween. A lot darker than most of my other fan fiction, but I've long been a fan of horror and I wanted to write something that would fit well into the genre of "pony horror". Read at your own risk.

Ever since she was a young foal, Starlight has wanted to become the most powerful unicorn in Equestria. After years of study, she's finally ready to prove herself by making contact with the one pony she believes can help her achieve this goal: King Sombra.
But King Sombra isn't the only thing waiting on the other side of that door.

When Starlight tampers with the past and prevents the Sonic Rainboom, it is up to Twilight to stop her. Their conflict, however, becomes one uphill struggle after another. Twilight and Spike have endured countless changes to the present. Whether it be an Equestria ruled by King Sombra, or their whole society being reduced to tribalism in the wake of the changeling attack, there seems to be no way for Twilight and Spike to resolve this situation peacefully.

In the aftermath of their fight, they find themselves trapped within the barren wastelands of Equestria. Now, they must find a way back to the past and set everything right before all hope of a bright future for them is lost. Will they succeed, or will the harsh environment of the wastelands be the end of them?
