It is said the River Styx seperates the land of the living from the fields of the dead. Every mortal eventually finds themselves crossing the black river of woe with its odd ferryman to meet their final resting place. The only question Twilight has is this.

Written as a self imposed 45 minute challenge for originality. The aim - Write a one shot in forty five minutes or less, with two thousand words or less (Though a little over is okay too) It must be as original as I can make it!

They came from nowhere, claiming victim after victim with no regard to their species. Dragonkind fell first, and Changelings were never heard from again.

Now all that remain of Equis stand frightened and unprepared as the army of gaseous creatures, one's akin to living shadow float on up towards Canterlot Castle to find their 'child'.

Discord found love, and Equestria peace, through his union with Fluttershy, till death do them part.

But what happens after that?

Spike takes care of Twilight the best he can. She's sick, but he knows she'll get better and everything will get back to normal. But first, he needs to feed her.

Equestria has been brought to its knees. Monsters of all kinds flood every city, the world itself seems to be on the verge of complete collapse, and every pony is trapped by the physical manifestation of their own deepest, most inner terrors and nightmares.

But it's Hearth's Warming, and Rarity's got gifts to give. And she won't let something as mundane as the end of the world get in her way. Time to panic will have to come later.
