This was going to be my entry in the 200th Writeoff contest, "Looking Back," but once again, I couldn't get it finished in time. And the cover art is by Andy Price, of course.

Becoming a teacher at the prestigious School of Friendship seems even more natural, considering her past with helping others. Yet on the morning of her first day on the job, she suffers a crisis of confidence. Will her history of altruism help her in the present?

The original version of this story won 1st place in the 101st Writeoff contest, "Reversal of Fortune," and the cover art is a commission from Kyumiku.

Most of the time, Pinkie Pie is the happiest, most cheerful of ponies, but she often has a hard time coping with loss.

Today we see just how hard, as Pinkie says goodbye to a special friend.
