The way Rainbow Dash felt about her friend AppleJack was something new to her, leaving her feeling pensive, nervous and excited. Will she act on these foreign feelings for her friend? Will her friend reciprocate these feelings? Or will she lose the best friend she has ever had?

Even if she did, things in life are seldom that simple and easy. Rainbow's past "experimental actions" could inadvertently cause her to lose the very mare she fell for head over hooves. So when the past comes knocking at her door again, what will Rainbow Dash do to keep what she fought so hard to get?

That's where Pinkie Pie comes in, ever the defender of her friends possibly budding relationship she goes to great lengths to make sure they get and stay together happily. Though when Pinkie figures out just who she is contending with in trying to protect her friends relationship; she finds herself stretched thin against the vengeful tide that spills forth. How long can she keep them safe from intruding eyes? Read on to find out just what happens...

However, the secrecy of their relationship must come to an end, at some point. How will the Rainbow's friends react to Gilda's return. How will Rainbow reveal her true self with Gilda? The world may never know...

Alright guys, this is my first story, just to let you all know. Another quick note is that I haven't sent this through an editor yet either. So, feel free to give me your constructive criticism, and maybe some tips for the future, as I am pretty new out here. While typing this up, I'm not even sure how to submit a story, let alone edit this later for chapters, just to give you a hint as to my level of experience. Anything that you've got, though, I'm all ears! Thanks for reading!

DJ P0N-3, or Vinyl Scratch as she's normally called, had long since made a name for herself as Ponyville's premiere DJ. For nearly three years running, she's long since enjoyed the fame and luxury that came with her job, as well as the music she created week after week. Techno, R&B, trance, dubstep, she's done many a genre in her career. But now that her fame has reached a new height, she thought it best to finally make her big break in the nation's capital itself, and put together the band she had always dreamed of having.

Fillydelphia! City of a thousand glittering opportunities! Come to Fillydelphia! Get your mane cut! Divorce your spouse! Buy a chariot! Rent a condo! Fillydelphia! The city that glows like the gin blossoms on its mayor’s face!

Trixie and Gilda have been in Fillydelphia for some time, and it’s almost, but not quite, to their taste. There’s no good work — at least, no good work with monthly paychecks, annual performance reviews and a promotion track that doesn’t involve murder — for a travelling illusionist and an uncertified bouncer, so to cover the rent they’ve had to resort to bad work.

Well, not bad bad work. And certainly not that sort of bad work. The hours are good, the pay is more than adequate, and the people they meet are interesting.

They cater to a certain clientele, ponies who know it’s not just what you have in life that makes you happy, but what you don’t have. Like vengeful rivals. Or snitches. Or nosy detectives.

Or dead bodies.

When that is the particular problem, Gilda and Trixie get a call. For a reasonable price and a good reference, they’ll make your problem disappear...

Gilda's trip to Ponyville ended worse than she could have imagined. She didn't exactly leave on the best of terms with her only real pony friend, and a temper tantrum on the outskirts of the Everfree leaves her with an even bigger problem than that.

After a year at home with no hope to fix her situation, Gilda has no choice but to turn to the ponies she may very well dislike the most. But can they just forgive and forget in her time of need?
