This is the story of my personal experience with such a situation.

On what seems like any other day, Sunset Shimmer stumbles upon an older woman that looks shockingly like her. Believing this to be her "human world" counterpart, she tries to connect with the woman, only to find that she has little interest in what Sunset has to say. Sonata has a rough and tragic backstory involving her biological parents, after their quick and sudden passing, she moved in with her non-biological sisters Adagio and Aria. Now, she's having some troubles sleeping at night due to the images she keeps seeing in her mind, problem is, she won't tell anybody what's going on or what she sees because it makes her uncomfortable. Will one of her sisters be able to give her some peace of mind so she's able to sleep soundly?

This story explains the way I view the relationship of The Dazzlings, while I do view them as sisters, I do not view them as biological siblings, rather instead, I view them as three people who have lived together for so long that they just refer to one another as sisters, but they aren't related at all. Hope that makes sense.

This story is a sequel to Requiem for Sonata and Aria at Midnight. I highly recommend you read these two before reading this.

One year has passed since Adagio's failed ploy for power. For most intents and purposes, life in the Dazzling household has remained the same.

Perhaps too much the same, or at least that's what Aria and Sonata think. They're not exactly happy with their new lot in life, stuck on Earth, but they've been able to accept it and move on.

But not Adagio.

Never Adagio.

This story marks my second year of uploading to Fimfiction, and my first year of realizing how true a passion writing has become for me. It's been a wild and unexpected journey. I've made and met new friends, entered contests, and begun my first novel-length project. So much has happened, and I'm eager for whatever comes in the future.

This also marks the last entry in my 'Homesick Sirens' series - at least for now. I've got something a bit unorthodox lined up for next year in time for the 10th Anniversary of Rainbow Rocks. So if you want to see more angsty fishes, stick around~
