It's more like a TRIBUTE to Cupcakes. I know the author... somewhat. I've spoken to him verbally a couple times.
That was pretty good. Best cupcake related story yet.
Hmm now that I've finished reading time to put my thoughts
First off it was pretty decent i loved how each chapter was short (i don't have that big of an attention span when it comes to reading) it made it easy for me to not get distracted.
Pretty much the only thing i found distracting was that Rarity didn't react more when she found out her horn was gone (you gotta think, her horn was her life, without her magic she cant do her job)
Also i probably missed it but what happened to Applebloom after 'chapter 20 - A Bad Apple' she was gone, there was no mention of the guards or anypony taking her.
other than those 2 little snafus i thought it was a good read. i think 9.5 out of 10
P.S. i love how the title for chapter 22 goes perfectly with the last 2 paragraphs
