*Please read whole thing before beginning story*
After having the same nightmare for the past three months, Twilight goes to Princess Celestia for help. But after Princess Celestia tells Twilight that the nightmares are memories and not dreams, Twilight must make sense that her soul is eternal and has been living for the past thousands of years. With the return of the Crystal Empire, Twilight must reawaken the other Sailor Scouts, in their present-day pony forms, and they must set out to vanquish the evil that comes along with the Empire.
--I know there are a lot of Sailor Senshi and various different villains, but this is my take on it with a pony spin. Not all of the Senshi can or will be accounted for, so please don't just dislike the story because your favorite Senshi character isn't included. And please don't just negatively rate it because I'm using the Senshi's English names rather than their Japanese. I respect both names, but I grew up with the English anime and that's what's most nostalgic for me.

It was a toss up of either Rarity or Pinkie being Venus.
This is my logic:
Twilight is Mercury because she is the smartest.
I did Applejack as Jupiter because they're both strong.
Rainbow Dash as Mars because they're both sort of hot-headed.
I then decided to make Pinkie Venus, because although Venus is really girly sometimes (which is why my other option was Rarity), Venus is also (in my opinion) really optimistic and kind of silly like Sailor Moon.
So then I decided to make Rarity Pluto, because in my opinion, Rarity is one of the more mature and older ponies of the group (although she can be dramatic.)
Fluttershy is Saturn because she and Hotaru are both quiet and kind, plus the idea of Fluttershy being super destructive monster is sort of a doppleganger.
Just like Rarity/Pluto in this story though, she's constructed a different life and personality for herself in Equestria. The same has gone for all of the other ponies. So while Venus may have been more serious (in the manga at least) and the leader of the main four, Pinkie is sort of the opposite of the serious side.
Sort of rambling, but those are my thoughts. There will be more development and explanations as the story progresses
Interesting idea, but I won't be continuing to read it. I am violently opposed to using the English names of the Sailor Moon characters. The only reason I even completed the second chapter is because of ponies. However, good luck on your writing. Don't let my biased opinion hold you back.

I kind of figured some people would react like that, and I debated about which names to use. While I respect both the Japanese and English names, I grew up with the English anime, so it's what's closest to my heart and most nostalgic.

BUT I LIKED THIS, gotta admit I got scared with the 7th Element thing, because you know how things can become with stuff like that. But your explanation of the lineage and such was clear as crystal and well, don't worry about the names, it is easier to remember them in english and that
I still don't mind the names, and besides, it is obvious that everyone will still use their pony names, I mean, they didn't called Serena/Usagi by the name Serenity right away just because she awakened her memories.
It's not weird naming like in Card Captor Sakura to Cardcaptors, freakin' Tomoyo to Taylor Madison was just, no. And from Ami to Amy.. Well, it was a nice way to keep the name but different for american audiences, it was clever at least. So well, I still will follow, great job

Thank you for your comments! Yes, they'll still use their pony names, except for when Twilight and Rarity are trying to explain to the others who they really are.
I threw in the 7th Element since I heard rumours of MLP:FiM introducing a 7th element involving Cadance or something. So it sort of fit well since there were originally 7 rainbow crystals.
I don't know why this chapter ended up being so much shorter than the others
But that's just how it worked out
Haha that bit with PinkaMina was genius, and something i just noticed. Anyways ot makes sensebthat Pinkie/Mina wouldnt want to remember. She was always the first to awaken within the Inner group, and it always seemed, to me, that she regreted that fact. Hense why Pinkie wouldnt want too.

I knew of the Salior Moon stories a bit, but even I cannot believe that Salior Saturn's a threat or two to all this.
Still, it is an interesting start and I cannot wait to see more.

Spike's been mentioned already once. He's a new entity, and is only from their Equestrian world. He wasn't alive in their other lives.
One of the Outer Senshi's main objectives at one point, was to make sure Sailor Saturn wasn't awakened. She's that powerful.

Ummmmm. I don't remember Sailor Moon. I think I may have watched it years ago when I was little. Maybe. Only thing I remember though is from Robot Chicken. Where the jamaican dude and the evil witch BOTH got boners from Sailor Moon. Still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested. Maybe I'll end up liking it... what the hell, time to read!

I don't know; to be honest, I think these 'awakening' might not be as a good idea as one might think. After, ever since their 'awakening', they haven't be very harmonic with each other. Rarity is lying and keeping things from the others, or another way to phrase it: she is being selfish (or would disingenuous fit better); Applejack is being more-or-less dishonest toward Rarity, and maybe the princesses (being honest goes beyond telling the truth...even the perfect liar can have a honest heart); Rainbow Dash is showing disloyalty toward Rarity and the princesses; Pinkie Pie is no longer full of laughter; and Twilight, while still showing a strong bond with her friends, is slowly losing said bond as she continue to lose herself to her past self. I got a feeling, however, that Fluttershy will be the only one who will keep her element intact, even after the news of her past self become reveal.
As for this story, I am liking it so far. Keep up the great job.
