HAs this even been submitted yet?

You have sparked sooo much hype within me man, don't let me down! Insta fav and like! :pinkiehappy:

Thanks to all the commentors! I can't wait to get the next chapter up! I'm shocked that so many people like this :pinkiegasp:

Dear Primus!!!:pinkiegasp:
I love this story!:rainbowkiss:

Interesting.

Optimus Prime is best god, FYI

That picture has always upset me, not just because it's pulling a blatant joke on the God I worship, but because it's misinterpreting the very thing it's talking about.

Man, I usually avoid religious stories, but they way you approached this is interesting. I don't follow any religion, but I do love the mythology and the history behind them, and you seem to have it all figured out. But I have a few gripes/questions.

Why does the Bible get to be a book while the Torah and the Quran are scrolls?

Also, you gave the impression right from the start that this was going focused on the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam,) which is a good place to draw the line that you spoke of, so I don't understand the addition of Hercules. It just seems very out of place, since he's from a polytheistic religion that really has no ties at all to the other three.

you need to give more details on the reason of the war.

1568830 That is a very good question. I pondered about it, and I have it figured out that the Pantheon, while being real, are really under the Abrahamic God. It's complicated, but I will get into it in the next chapter. It's confusing, I know, but I may take it out depending on how people take it. Sorry for the confusion :twilightsheepish:

Oooooh! This gon' be good! I can see so many awesome things coming from this. A battle with Samson, Rainbow Dash and Gabriel vs. Cain, Discord, and the Whore of Babylon, or a clop scene where King Nimrod and Queen Chrysalis mate and produce a race of changeling-giants to conquer Equestira.

I predict many thrills and lulz from this story. Do not disappoint me!

1569342 Okay, the part with Chrysalis made me laugh. Hard. You sir have a sense of humor! :rainbowlaugh:

This has serious potential. The subject matter is untread upon, and intriguing.

But you have issues with show, don't tell, and your pacing is way too fast.

1569427 I know. I'm surprised too :pinkiegasp:

A fic where god comes down and kicks equestria's ass?

Sign me up.

1569481

OH DEAR GOD! THE MONKEY IS HORRIFYING!

Please don't use it again....

Anyway, what you call butthurt, I call mario.

1569498 Sound advice.

You know, this is the kind of story I see in the new tab and from the premise alone I expect it being downvoted to oblivion. I have faith in you, don't disappoint me! :raritydespair:

1568830 I neglected to answer your other question. Upon research, I found that the Torah is typically a scroll, and it is in that form which is used in synagogues. Also, I found that the Quran is more often than not a scroll as well, though I could be wrong with the Quran. Glad I could clear that up.

I support your story man. This should be interesting. And now a relvant clip.

YES!@!!!!!!! MAY THE PONIES BURN IN HELL!!!! IM LUTHERAN!!!!!

Whelp, can't be worse than that idiot who somehow got an EQD feature with OCs that were horrible beings in entirety.
No, seriously, he had a theocracy 'elsewhere' on planet Equis, with space ships for their ambassidors, who insulted Celestia to her face the moment they got off the ship. And I recall a burning cross was in the (self-dawn) cover art. And he wrote Celestia raping Rainbow Dash out of nowhere (and a plot point). And Fluttershy becoming a Calvinist, exactly as like in a Chick Tract (ie: after 1 conversation of blatant propaganda).

Fer the record, I'm an Atheist, so trying to put the Abrahamic cults into Equestria triggers my "Are-you-fucking-kidding-me"ometer.
One fic that adapted religion well into Equestria is The Book of Friendship, with "ambigiously gay mormon ponies." That one is funny as hell.

But, all the other religious fics (specifically abrahamic; There are a few that address one/both of the Sisters in a religious context, they tend to score better) I cannot recall individually, as they all ended up blurring together into generic afore-mentioned "Chick Tract With Ponies" drivel.

I, too, am a Catholic, and have no idea why I'm actually interested in this, nor why I feel that way when I feel like I shouldn't.

Yeah, I'm on.

I'm agnostic and this is 100% pure gold! FAV!

As long as you are prepared for the onslaught of religious based rantings that this fic is sure to insight......then I encourage you to continue with a word of caution when you make address to the Islamic/Muslim prophet Muhammad. You know how defensive this religion can be when it comes to their belief.:facehoof:

As I am agnostic in my religious alignment, I find this very interesting and enjoy the concept this fic may produce. Then again I love anything controversial in nature. Keep at it!

Celestia, what have you done...:raritydespair:

1569837 ALL HAIL DEATH PONY!!!

MORE!!! I'm looking forward to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

I'm just sitting here wondering how long it'll take before this story gets downvoted to all hell. That, and I'm expecting Kratos to show up and kick some Pantheon ass!

1591257 I' waiting for that as well. But it seems that there aren't many scary fire and brimstone Christians, Jews or Muslims who are bronies. Dodged a bullet there! :pinkiehappy:

Im Lutheran. ANd may God beat celestia so bad she becomes what she truly is. A good for nothing animal who bit the hand that feeds her!!!!:flutterrage:

I'm still not getting it. Who are the good guys? The armies of God or the might of pony princesses we all know and love?

I honestly don't like Equestria's chances here. I mean, the God of the Old Testament is among the most unpleasant characters in ancient literature, and the Greek gods weren't exactly known for their kindness either.

I think it's a bit strange that Twilight was the one to help Celestia with the ocean, and not Luna.

By the way, Hercules is actually the Roman name of the character. His Greek name is Heracles. The Romans were really keen on stealing Greek deities and giving them different names.

1592338 Yeah plus you're sending a peace time army of ponies against and army of god and demi god of a warrior race.

1592735 exactly my thoughts as well.

I'm just placing my opinion here, k? No need to slaughter me...

I think god is REALLY ooc, I mean, as far as all three books go, god is a lord of justice and love. He does not wage war unless it is justified, as in egypt and jericho and all those military campaigns by the israelites that were justified by gods pledge to give the jews a land of their own.

And yeah, I guess your reason for the war is solid enough. Interference with another gods realm would be a bad thing, but the pride thing just doesnt fit. It would seem as if you are trying to characterize god as a man. If we are basing god from all three books then they have the aspect of holiness as a common factor, they do not fall for human temptations.

And the speech part really threw me off. Telling your people that youre going to a war against a god, because you broke the rules of the gods and that he has an army large enough to wage war and spread death to all of the planet doesnt seem really encouraging.

I mean, there are plot holes man, deep and dangerous, I will not dislike this and you can keep my like and I will keep an eye out. But hear my words, as this story gains views, and the chracters get more screen time, you will face the difficult task of taking on the role of, not one, not two, but THREE major deities that have really large and well studied works of literature behind them. And I'm keeping the greek ones out, but those have a lot behind them as well. All I'm saying is, do not take it lightly bro, do some heavy research of all the gods youre planning on getting in there.

It's not just a thing of placing the cool gods in, you have taken on a pretty large ship here man, take care that you know how to sail it.

Peace out, best wishes!

There is only one issue I see. Hercules was a Roman god, not Greek. It's the whole Zeus/Jupiter thing, but the correct name would be Heracles, not Hercules. If you look into it, you can see that they each have a very different myth behind them. Other than that, I really liked where this is headed.

1591283 Look for the user 'LightPony' here on FiMFic. He's very... Devoted, to say the least.

1595350 Thanks for the input. Remember, the whole pride thing was going through Zeus' head, it may or may not be actually happening. But still, thanks for telling me how I can do better!

I still can't believe I'm reading this.

And in this case, no, quoting Winston Churchill does not give you bonus points. Even if he did exist in the past of this universe.

This looks awesomesaucely promising!
Gott mit uns!

I'm very hyped and about to read now ^^

Wow, I'd like to have a, uh…revelation… as to how the heck did you come you with this contrieved idea? Because I'm still not sure I can believe I'm reading this.

Also, I'm sure it's already mentioned somwhere, but God seems pretty Old Testament.

CDR

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

Nothing is safe on the internet.
The internet is not safe from ponies.

Stories most often start out as a simple 'What If' scenario. Whether or not the said scenario could ever actually happen, or why it would happen, doesn't always matter so much. As long as its well written.

I guess Supernatural and Shin megami tensei have shown other view of gods. Some more neutral.

I recall Lucifer being the most beautiful archangel and the devil's image we use is to discredit pagan cultures like poseidon's trident and faun's goat body parts.

Im planning on writing a TCB story in which the human gods take on celestia, then again that might influence my opinion.

Suddenly confused, as I'm siding with both my religion and ponies. My mind cannot work under such stress! I sure hope this ends relatively well. :raritydespair:

Anyways, will you tell us a backstory on how God ended us? I'd very much like to know.

1647679

Well, I came up with a story in which Mussolini summons a heavenly panini of doom... So I guess you could say the internet has, in fact, seen it all...

Also, to the author: I once more find myself bewildered as to why Celestia is so honest with the ponies. Blaming the whole thing on the terrorists would have been the most sensible thing to do instead of telling them god did it! It goes against my logic! :pinkiegasp:

On another note, MOAR! :flutterrage: You've got one epic story here pal, Rock on!
