Interesting start. Based on the description, I'm guessing a T-Rex has made its way to Ponyville and will somehow come to see Spike as its brethren and want to teach him how to be a proper predator.
Fluttershy would probably be quite the help here.

Hmm, looks like there's more than one predator here. Also, kudos on the feather! Even though your cover picture shows an outdated version with just scales, nearly all therapod dinosaurs likely had feathers, so good on you for scientific accuracy!

Actually, the picture is a Tyrannosaurid with feathering. The picture is just awful quality, but the show it is in shows sparse covering that is perfect for hotter climates.
As for the teleportation, I had thought of that, but I also really like the idea of a cat and mouse scene between predator and pony, builds up the suspense.
I will say I'm impressed with your portrayal of Zecora. Most writers have trouble, but you have her and her rhyming pinned.

Pretty good chapter. You kinda broke the pacing abit when you decided to put the information about the Tarbosaurus name and nomenclature. The ponies wouldn't know anything about this, so you're basically explaining it for the audience's benefit.

Hmm, one would think after seeing yet another type of dinsaur wander out from the Everfree, they'd suspect that there might be something up, or them coming from somewhere. Seems alittle abrupt to end the chapter where it did. Otherwise a good chapter, and nice character interactions.

Good desciptions here. You could really feel the tension towards the end when everyone present, ponies included, reverted slightly back to their more animalistic instincts.
However, in addition to the big problem, now they'll haveta also eventually deal with the raptors, lest the duo come across some lonesome filly near Ponyville and decide it'll make easier prey than the larger group they just encountered.
