Snow Quill

Just a bat, sometimes writes, sometimes draws

T

Cheerilee is a wonderful teacher. It’s what her students say, it’s what the parents say, and, most importantly, it’s what her cutie mark says.

But what happens when one’s purpose, one’s whole meaning of life, is no longer there?

What is a teacher without a class to teach?

What is Cheerilee now?

Wonderfully terrifying. I mean, technically speaking, there are other towns she could have gone to, but who cares, right? Took me by surprise for sure, despite when double checking the hints being already there. :twilightoops:

Thanks for the comment! I’m glad the ending was a surprise but the hints still stood out when re-reading. This was fun to write, I don’t delve into plain horror like this too often and glad it came out as terrifying as I intended >:3

I didn’t expect this when I was reading, but I loved it. Very good storytelling!

Sweet Celestia...

Great story! Loved it!

I’m not sure Celestia is around much anymore at this point…

Thanks for the comment though, glad you enjoyed the story!

It sounds like Cheerilee is a couple of steps away from "It puts the lotion on its skin." territory.

You know, I've heard that meme but I've never actually watched where it came from so I'm unsure whether to be offended or not /jk

(do hope that is a good thing and you liked the story though!)

It comes from Silence of the Lambs. It's what Buffalo Bill says to the woman he's holding in the dry well in the basement of his house.

Ohh I see, neat! I keep meaning to watch those movies

Silence of the Lambs was really good. You're going to find yourself intrigued and disturbed by Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill.

Also remember that the movie came out at a different time when trans people weren't as socially accepted as they are today. I only bring that up because Buffalo Bill is a trans character, both in the original novel and in the movie, and he's a violent psychopath who kidnaps, starves, kills and skins women.

You’re welcome! Continue making wonderful stories!

I have recorded reading this and am halfway through editing it into an Audiobook.
I think you are going to be really impressed with it. The setting gives me a great opportunity to create a creepy soundscape.
Coming Soon :pinkiecrazy:
