Years have passed since the Elements of Harmony were left behind to Twilight Sparkle by the circle of ponies who had once guarded them. Born with three strange crystals alongside him in a time where ponies from every walk of life are led by one of Twilight's once-trusted consorts, Azreal, the Prince finds himself in the middle of a corrupt mutiny of ponies fighting to rid the world of the last Princess and magic altogether.
2,000 moons later, Argyle, the last of his kind, struggles to find out what being a Prince really means. However, when Discord is captured by none other than Azreal himself in former Canterlot - now dubbed Equidae, a diplomatic centre for this new way of life in Equestria - Argyle must set out to save his friend, discover exactly what power the gems of his truly hold, find out how to unite all three of the divided tribes, and above all, not blow his cover in his new earth pony home of Maretime Bay. His challenges only grow after his daughter, Sunny, enters his life, eventually leaving him with no choice but to abandon his home and family altogether when his superiors in Equidae start to question his loyalty to the new world order. Now he has to leave the fate of Equestria's magical revival in young Sunny's hooves, while questioning his own part to play in his manifest destiny. But can both save Equestria without the other?
A wonderful first foray into pony fiction. I wonderful how much it will focus on Argyle's journey versus Azreal's backstory. I'm curious why Azreal was so adamant on destroying the alicorn race.
It's unsettling, but that's what makes it good.
I've been looking for a good story on Argyle's backstory, and I love your idea that he's some guardian of harmony. Looking forward to more. Is the story already completed, or will you be writing more after each update?
P.S. I would suggest a shorter long description, a few sentences maybe. Although the story is good, the very long summary may discourage people from reading.

I am horrible at descriptions so trust me, it's making me cringe. I plan to update it in the near future, so I apologize! It's a lot in one story to cover so summarizing is like my kryptonite right now.

This is a very sweet and funny, yet touching chapter. I think you got the humor and the sobering reality balanced quite nicely. I did love Discord's little pep talk, and how he brought in the Elements. I think that was my favorite part of this.
Ah, and Discord trying to avoid the dreaded TALK was funny! Nice to know some things never change, even as your world crumbles and falls around you.
Also, are moons referring to months or years in this story? Because depending on the story, I've seen it go either way.

Ohh wow this is a very interesting start here how everything fell apart lead up to the new generation probably with a new twist in the story let's see how this goes
Twilight softly kissed his forehead before letting go, using what little powers she had left to force Argyle into Discord’s arms. “Now go! Run, and don’t look back! NOW!”
The way she said it it kind of reminds me of Bambi when his mother told him to run
and that's still kind of scare me and make me very sad
Well ok that was a pretty intense so it looks like the Ponies are storming the castle against Twilight as she feared this would happen and it looks like she tries to make peace with the other ponies she needs to get her son Argyle out of danger and Discord in charge of him because knowing that she will not make it but she has to try and with that the Unicorn name Azreal attack Twilight she tries to make talk with him but unfortunately it didn't go very well and with that Azreal and the others killed her and unfortunately she didn't make it Discord knows it as well now it's just only him and the kid how in the world were they bring Harmony Back?
It's either that she went to the human world aka (Equestria girls) to visit other countries okay cool
So it looks like Discord and Argyle are on the run but it looks like they take a break after running so long and having the kid to play around they even saw a couple of butterflies even one butterfly looks like Fluttershy's cutie mark which Discord Miss so much and he did pretty good job of giving him some comfort that everything will be okay despite how Bleak it is right now that one day maybe Harmony will come back so I wonder what's going to happen next I guess we'll find out next time

I love how you've continued the Scotland theme with the characters' name. Argyle, funnily enough, is a region in the Scottish Highlands (today called Argyll and Bute) whilst Kilmarnock is in Ayrshire. Presumably Twilight was particularly fond of the former place name?
