Nice possible mind-screw piece; hard to tell on the first chapter alone, but it's intriguing enough that I'm interested to see more. There seemed to be such potential for this sort of story after "A Canterlot Wedding", but most of the mind-screw generated by the fan community seems to focus -- almost a bit counter-intuitively -- on "(Random pony) secretly (is/has always been) a Changeling" rather than the couple most directly traumatized by them, so it's good to see the Royals themselves dealing with the psychological after-effects of the coup. I suppose it doesn't hurt my favorable reaction that I'm always hunting for more Cad(e/a)nce / Shiny content, but my bias aside, this is well-written and I do hope you continue it.
Again, sorry to ask, but any progress on an update? This story sounds interesting.
