This story is a sequel to Destiny or Coincidence?
Princesses Celestia and Luna invite Twilight Sparkle and Megan Williams over for an afternoon tea. After knowing about how Twilight and Cadence became alicorns, Megan now wants to how they became such as well especially with alicorns now on her mind. However, their story goes even deeper that even makes Twilight surprised to hear. This story is a crossover between G1 and G4.

If you read the first fanfic I did, Twilight introduced herself to Megan, and her look puzzled her a bit especially since she never saw an alicorn when she last came there. I suggest you read that, and you will see why that is the case here. Also, in that other fanfic, she already met the Royal Sisters, so this isn't the first time for her. The only thing here is that she got invited to have tea with them along with Twilight and wants to know about their story. The reason I didn't have that in the other fanfic is because it would make it too long, and that I felt that deserved a story of its own due to such length. However, I'm under the impression that they weren't born alicorns and had to earn it just like how Twilight and Cadence did. You can try to use the Journal of Two Sisters to make the claim that they were born alicorns to dispute me, but I have looked at it online myself, and it doesn't give any real claims that they were born that way nor does it even mention about their early lives, just how they founded named the kingdom Equestria. More importantly, a claim doesn't make it a fact especially if there is hardly anything to back it up with. The other reason to I feel that the Royal Sisters weren't born as alicorns was from the episode where Flurry Heart was born and Luna mentioned about how them being born is still a mystery, which could hint that neither of them were born as alicorns and possibly making the very journal about them no longer being canon to the series, thought that was the case when the origins of the Tree of Harmony was explained in a later episode. Overall, the point of this fanfic is to talk about what the two did before they became the rulers of Equestria, because neither the journal or the series gives anything on that or at least gives more about it. As for having Megan in this, if you know about when MLP originally started back in the 1980's, she was pretty much the face of G1 as she appeared in both the original specials, the movie, and was even a major character in the very series, MLP 'n Friends, and like many other bronies here, I to make her come back to be with the G4 ponies as if the two series are related even though they really aren't. Maybe now you understand where this is going after reading this.
I will admit that writing was never my best subject, which is why I didn't do so good at it in school and in college hence my kryptonite despite being good at other subjects. The first mistake you mention was on my end, but I did correct it by replacing Twilight with Celestia. The rest I did take your advice and corrected some of them so they would sound better. At the point they reach the tribe, they are pretty much between foals to young adults at this point, so they are no longer fillies at this time. BTW, I did so some research on the Royal Sisters, and I know that Celestia is known for being optimistic at times while Luna has the tendency to be more realistic especially when things can get critical. As for Sombra, he has history of being arrogant and how he is explained here shows just that and probably why he was later on overthrown due to displaying such. On a side note, the fact that they have the book at the end of this chapter ties into why the very book was hidden only to have Twilight discover at the start of the fanfic I already did if you actually read it. One other thing, being that this fanfic is mostly going to be a flashback, there will be times where either Megan and/or Twilight will be interrupting them be it the beginning of the chapter or even somewhere along them, so don't be surprised when that happens.

First of all, I did link my first fanfic to this one. If you do read Destiny or Coincidence, then there parts of it where Megan says that she didn't remember either of the Royal Sisters having wings when she first saw them when brought over to Paradise Estate. In a way, this is hinted there. In this fanfic, I'm sort of changing the order a little bit here by saying that they get their cutie marks first in that they discover what their destiny is, but they do see it as a stepping stone to what they will become later on in feeling that there is more to just accomplishing a rare feat if you know what I mean, but I won't mention anything else because I don't want to give away the next chapter. As for Sombra, he was always pictured as having a narcistic personality, and I keep that in this fanfic. Honestly, I don't know what relation he would really have with Luna, but I could see something with Nightmare Moon. However, Luna in the rest of the series does take every step to make sure she never becomes that again after feeling what it did to her originally, so that relation with her dark side with Sombra won't happen. He might get something with Daybreaker, but this character only appeared once, and that was in the episode A Royal Problem, which revealed Celestia's dark side, but unlike Luna, it was highly unlikely that she was going to take that form outside the dream realm, because Celestia was never shown to express high levels of anger that would give her that form whereas Luna only became Nightmare Moon due to all the neglect and loneliness she had gotten over the years that lead her to being that way. I never got why he doesn't go after Queen Chrysalis especially when she is shown to pure evil and almost seem to mirror him in a number of way. Since you said you don't know about Megan, I won't blame you or anyone for this especially you're not as old as I am to know about her. There are places online that do have the episodes from G1 such as Watch Cartoons Forever that have them as well as the movie and specials. I never got why G4 was made with G1 in mind, but didn't want to place a revamped version of her especially since she was the face of it, but I feel that was due to the fact that Lauren Faust said that she didn't want any human characters in the show. The other reason why she didn't appear in that series was because even after Faust left that could reopened that door was probably because the writers couldn't find a way to fit her in due to the way the series was formatted especially with a good part of it being dedicated to everyday life when her original character was dedicated to adventure only, so placing her in might have been too complicated not to mention how she would have been portrayed even if she could be in there, though I'm guessing she would have been just an ally for the Mane 6 in some episodes, but not made part of the group itself. What I find interesting about her is that if you were type both Megan Williams and My Little Pony and do a Google Image search, you will find a lot of images that shows her with G4 characters despite not being part of the show itself, which probably shows how much she hasn't been forgotten even to this day. On a side note, it's said that she will appear in the five part comic series that is coming out in two weeks, but she won't be introduced until the third part when it comes out towards the end of the year, so for me, that sort of makes up for the missed opportunity of not having her in the series, though I don't know how she will be portrayed in this, so we'll just have to wait and see until then.

If you want to know how Megan Williams was first brought in, then I suggest looking for Rescue at Midnight Castle. However, if you can find the original one and the one from the G1 series MLP 'n Friends, there will be scenes that didn't make it in when it was integrated into the series not to mention an ending where she gets flown back home and sees her pony again. One other thing, you better get a look at the ponies that appear in that special, because none of them appeared again, just her and Spike were reused after that. Also, it would have been nice if Hasbro allowed for Megan to keep her original outfit rather than what she wound up with the in the movie and series. As for Posey, she is also a G1 character and was first introduced in Escape from Catrina, and is seen as a caretaker of what's either a nursery or daycare center, though it's not clear what that place was in that special. When the movie came out, she became the caretaker for Paradise Estates as well as in the series itself. Most of the time, she is shown either being the garden or taking care of the baby ponies that come there where in this case she is a full time mother for both Luna and Celestia since they don't seem to have any parents, but it's not as if their parents were ever revealed in the show or the journal about them hence no actual contradictions were made. If you don't know what she looks like, she's pretty much Fluttershy without her wings, though that is mentioned in Destiny or Coincidence as well, plus that pony was actually the inspiration for the pony you know according to Lauren Faust. On a side note, if you saw the Equestria Girls special, Rollercoaster of Friendship, there is a young girl who is a yellow-skinned brunette and is wearing light blue overalls with a pink shirt underneath that is reference to what Megan herself wore in the series even though I wasn't too fond of that look, though I never really thought that it was meant to be her especially if that girl looked younger and didn't have any lines at all in the special. One other thing, that look probably looked better on that supposed character of her than when she wore it in the series, because I just felt that she looked too old for it. Overall, I don't think that was meant to be her, but rather than an Easter Egg that gave reference to her even though a number of bronies do seem to claim that was her. Just looking at this picture below shows that very difference.

Another reason to why I believe that the Royal Sisters might have been unicorns before being alicorns was due to the fact that Celestia was known for teaching a school for gifted unicorns that Twilight herself attended, which could have hinted that they were originally unicorns.
Some say that if G4 was a continuation of G1, then Majesty might have been their mother and probably the one who left them at Paradise Estate to be taken care of since she didn't want to herself. For those who don't know who she is, Majesty, who was a unicorn, was a known character in the G1 UK comics and was considered the queen of the ponies. However, she doesn't appear in MLP 'n Friends at any point, though there is a claim that a unicorn using the golden horseshoes in one episode might have been her despite not being confirmed.
