Solid read, so much setup and potential for new chapters, can't wait for whats coming next!
Yes! It updates, and with a great Segue into the next part of the story too!
Lmao
The return is a big kek.
I think Cut should go for a sorceress robe or similar.
11368848
You seem to have a typo there. It is segue not segway.
11368878
"I will now cast a dark seduction spell upon you!"
More RGRE shenanigans is what I love to see
Huh the party will either be frat boy wild or nerd central and either way it will be discord level glorious.
By the way are the wonderbolts military? Cause if so he could probably ask pike if she knew anyone around the incident.
Edit : how badly did BB and rook do it that she's still sore 3 days later.
I'ma calling it now Silken is going to join the anon herd next ark or close. Can't wait to see how it happenes.
11369024
Well someone is calling it early. It doesn’t even make sense yet. I don’t think it’ll happen… but it might.
11369031
Well it a shot in the dark, but it make sense to me. In the herd we missing a Pegasus pony the only one the cast knows well enough is Silken who's is a friend to cut and somewhat to anon and pike as well as being somewhat a constant in the story.
Damn, Blue!
Wonder if Cloak, wanted to go too?!
11369035
That is kinda fair though
Maybe, maybe not, we don't really know much about Astral's private life
Well there is a vacancy
Oh thank creation Anon look into that before writing an article
Smart
11369024
11369035
Considering how Anon had problems dealing with his anxiety regarding herd life, I think it's too early to introduce another one.
Besides, Pike already fits the role of the ''winged one'' in their group. I do not believe this is a ''Gotta herd 'em all!'' fic.
11369141
I would say it debatable of pike being the only wing one since the difference in feathered and leathered wing can be big. Plus I want to see Silken reaction to anon prening her. Thou I don't see them getting together in quick more like in 10-20 chapter of slow burn developmen or they going to be friends with benefits. Considering he staying in canteloth he most likely won't meet much exotic races. Thou we'll see when EQA-non makes next green text still looking forward to the party.
Well, Anon had certainly figured out how to be an investigative journalist: Find a story where everyone says, "And the case was completely solved!", ask the question, "Yeah, but was it really?", and go from there.
Nice
And the plot thickens
11368971
I thought they just needed to have the potential to embody their elements?
Nani!?
11369496
Fair enough. Thanks for the information.
I’m psyched for Anon’s investigation into the Wind Rider affair! It seems like it’ll be an interesting way to explore the events of Rarity Investigates further. Glad Anon stayed level-headed and avoided the potential smear piece that Rider’s friend had suggested.
Me: I need an adult.
11368924
I cast eroticism level 3. You are now a hot stallion.
?
Anon started talking about how he was going to pin her down and show her what a little mare she was, and she was totally into it! Pike!
Dear god I was right!
11369843
I am an adult
Poor Rook, attempted snu snu!
Oh no! I caught up again!
Amazing read as always.
Can't wait for more.
Many thanks again!
I love how the Main Six are always alluded to as these super obscure background ponies. I wonder if Anon will visit Rarity’s Canterlot boutique or which Wonderbolt will help in his undercover operations when he visits Cloudsdale…
Just sat down and binged this whole thing, and it's absolutely fucking great, 10/10, can't wait for more!
It's been a lo-0-O-0-ong time. How have you been, SQA-non?
11398731
As someone who loved Horrible Histories and just got into Well There's Your Problem, I like levity just fine.
Lying to people in order to make them jump through hoops to prove you wrong is not levity. Nor is saying, when called out on it, that part (and the irrelevant part) of your lie was true.
Nor is it levity to act smug about how they were "SO CLOSE" because they failed to mention something irrelevant to the question at hand. It tends to make people refuse to look into it out of spite.
11398943
I do not appreciate being called a liar. A simple understanding of history, or in lieu of that, reading some of the linked material would show you I have some understanding what I am talking about. For example, my comment about Antoine Auguste Parmentier is NOT irreverent. He served in the French Army during the seven years war, when he was captured multiple times by the Prussians, who fed him almost exclusively Potatoes - which had been outlawed for consumption since 1748 (in France). Upon his return, he convinced the government to embrace the potato, repealing the previous bans on the foodstuff in 1772. He would eventually go on to be Napoleon's First Pharmacist of the Army in 1805.
Now, please explain to me WHERE I lied?
11399724
(with quotes from 11399724, 11398731, and 11398191 respectively)
Where the topic is about the history of the word "pomme de terre". You already knew, and I had to figure out for myself, that, as you put it
and that "pomme de terre" originally meant tubers, things which were (by 15th-century botanists or possibly their Latin-using predecessors) seen as fruitlike ("pomme") but that grow in the ground ("de terre"); either that or your French teacher gave you a false etymology that you never questioned until I found the true etymology.
Yet you still insisted that "pomme de terre" meant "dirty fruit", and that the word came into use because the potato was seen as dirty, even though you probably knew that that was not why the word came into use:
Does that constitute lying? I dunno, you are apparently the language expert, you tell me. But at best, you were asking a question (ie, "where did the word "pomme de terre" come from?") and then saying that I was wrong because I answered the specific question you asked instead of the question you would have liked me to answer, "what did the 18th-century French think about the potato?" or "what is Antoine Auguste Parmentier famous for?". And as I mentioned, people do not like to have the goalposts shifted on them like that.
PS
No, he is at best parenthetically relevant. It's like answering a calculus question and being told "you were SO CLOSE. You almost uncovered the bitter dispute between Newton and Liebnitz over..."
11399995
And therefore as a stranger give it welcome. There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
I highly doubt it's "libel" unless you believe that multiple countries were all conspiring to make up the same excuse all those hundreds of years ago, in a time before international communication was even a thing.
11401146
If you actually look into the original Blood Libel (ie, the specific claim that Jewish communities kidnapped and killed Christian children to harvest their blood), you will discover that it originated in Norwich, England; that it was spread by people with a vested interest in its spread (including the medieval equivalent of the ex-Muslims whose speaking-circuit livelihood rests on being self-proclaimed ex-terrorists*), to people who were already antisemites and were highly receptive to lurid slanders about people they already regarded as "Christ-killers"**; and that the incidents took decades to spread across Europe.
* Now I'm imagining a pony claiming to be an ex-Bat Pony claiming to have participated in a snuggle syndicate.
** Eg, Thomas of Cantimpré, who played a major role in popularising the Blood Libel and directly connected it to the earlier "Christ-killer" libel with the glue of presuppositionalism.
EDIT: And international communications were definitely a thing by then. How else did they organise the First Crusade?
11401248
A rather farcical claim given that similar claims were made in countries such as Italty and Spain, I suppose they must have been sending each other letters to collaborate their stories... /s

11401248
Alright guys, that's enough. If you want to continue this topic, take it to DMs.
It hasnt been dropped has it?
11405333
The story hasn't been dropped, it's just taking time to figure out how to carry on to the next part.
11405665
Oh ok,im gald. Take all the time you need and keep up the good work
Would've thought Cloak would try to invite herself there.
11405665
Well...
Proper technique has it so you get a firm hold close to your chest, lift with your legs, and walk carefully without shuffling your feet.
This way you are less likely to drop anything, and carry what you want to the next part!
I couldn't put this story down, it was fun and amazing the whole way through!
I love how the themes of self affirmation are tackled, and that the characters are complex with their motivations and conflicts.
The beginning was genious. Too many stories start with the "first day" and bog themselves in the world building. I love how the story starts with what we came for and focuses on the ponies that make it up.
Extra extra bonus! The only immersive Anonymous story!!! He's an actual character whose name actually makes sense! How you even used the stupid cutie mark was genius!
Wherever you take us, can't wait to see how far you go.
May we thy fans have a new chapter please?
Oh some how I missed this update
Glad to see it
...I miss this story very much. SQA, come back, please!..

Ngl I always thought that phrase was meant to be used to how many points it would have scored. So in my head, a "10 point landing" would have been given a 10/10 at competition.
