I don’t think I’ve heard of that test before.

This is wrong, right? Like, by all accounts, she is a horse. So was Cheerilee. Yet, they’re also women at the end of the day. So, is this just my dumb lizard brain or am I actually fucked up?

I mean, she’s not as thick as say Pinkie or AJ, but I think that’s more of Earth pony thing. Even Cheerilee was toting a wagon. But, she is very shapely. I’d give her a slim thick rating, at best. It’s more of a dump of short, related stories. I wouldn’t watch this one too closely.

My brow keeps getting pushed up, again and again. The peace offering, the no-drinking bit, this quote... he's very clearly a Muslim. Not sure if I'm expecting it to colour his character more... or less. So far, it's kinda just there... which, I realise, is rather how it most often should be... but as this is a story, I feel there's intent in its inclusion, somehow.

This is fun. I really like how this explores their differences and approaches to attraction, eroticism, possible sexual intimacy - in a very relaxed sort of way. I guess this is how you'd expect it to happen, much more at least than standard clop fare of "catching up" on a bed just before the act. A lot of fumbling around, general shenanigans with undertones and teasing, some profound (and some not as profound) realisations... the whole nine yards.

Also, there's genuine kindness there... a sort of openness that you only get with those with whom you've grown emotionally intimate, one way or another. He's not about to be outright rejected, they all understand (or seem to, anyway) that they come from not just different species, but vastly different cultures as well. Which, if you stop to think about it, makes perfect sense, seeing as ponies are not the only sapient species on Equus (as opposed to Earth - the effects of which Avon clearly demonstrates).

It's... different, and I like it.

The way it's being handled - I'm almost okay with it not containing any smut, in the end...

Heheh. I always imagined that if you really wanted to know how all of the important bits worked, you'd go to Twilight. She'd probably wear a furious blush throughout the entire explanation, but the gravity of the situation - an alien, who knows practically nothing about the topic (incl. the social interactions or body language cues) asking for an explanation (and possibly giving one in turn) - would not be lost on her. She'd do her level best.

There would be props. Believe it.
(and if you're very lucky, she might just stand in for them... awkward as it might be, this is important shit... and maybe a smidgen of purely scientific curiosity besides ~_^)

I thank you for understanding the direction I wanted to take this, arguably better than me. As for the Muslim characterization, that’s purely by accident. I’m not prone to violence, not interested in drinking, and commonly use the lord’s name in vain as I’m agnostic. However, I am a proponent of Death of the Author, so feel free to interpret the story and its character as you see fit.

Normally, I wouldn't make note of it, but then you had him exchange the peace greeting w/ Spike. That's pretty specific, and you got it right.

Though what I think ultimately doesn't matter, because the character simply is. Everything else is made-up in my head. I still enjoy it, however, so it's good either way.
