Epilogue - The Omen of Shadows

After crossing the vortex, Clover had found himself in a big library that also served as a kind of laboratory. Looking around, he saw where he was and that made him quite happy.

“I can’t believe it… I’m home!”

He tried to fly up like he used to do when he was excited, but he couldn’t do, only falling on the ground.

“What the…” he started.

It is then that he noticed the reason why he had fallen, as he had become solid.

“My… my body is back…” he said. “My body is back! Yess!!”

“Clover, is that you?” a deep voice was heard.

And so a pony entered in the library. That pony was a unicorn stallion with an imposing posture. He was none other than Star Swirl the Bearded.

“Master…” he said, getting up.

“I was wondering where you were” Star Swirl said. “We have a lot to do, today, remember?”

Clover was still caught by surprise by the sudden appearance of his master. He couldn’t help but feeling very happy about that, exhibiting a big smile.

“Yes, master!” he exclaimed.

Star Swirl got a little surprise by that sudden burst of happiness.

“Are you okay, child?” he asked. “You seem a little… off. More so than usual.”

“I’m okay, master” Clover replied. “I just had the greatest of adventures you’ll never believe.”

“And I’m happy to hear about them… once we have this job done” Star Swirl said, while taking with his magic some of the books.

“Sure… but, just for you to know, I’ve learn a lot since we last see each other. I wouldn’t be surprise if ponies started to call me… Clover the Clever.”

“Clover the Clever, hein…” Star Swirl said, chuckling. “Your jokes surely have become more refined, young one. But if you really want to be known by that name, you’ll have to become pretty knowledgeable and wise and caught up with your reading is an important step for that.”

“Okay…” Clover sighed.

It was then that he removed his hood, revealing a horn behind it, which he charged with magic and then used to levitate a book to him.

“It’s a good thing Star made me start like reading…” he whispered, while opening the book. “I wonder how they are…”

After Mallet had crossed the vortex, he had ended up returning to his home, Ragnasala, where he reunited with his fellow Mighty Helm, as well his family, what caused him to get very happy, besides having a lot of stories to tell them how he and his friends from the Bermikun Triangle had ventured through the Seven Seas to unlock the Waypoints and defeated the terrifying Skullivar and his army of skeletons.

In the Bermikun Triangle, Opal and Steam had reopened the former’s shop, using also the latter’s island to make their greatest inventions.

Back in the Bright Shore, Twilight was with Blue, the twins and Timber looking at the see, expecting for the return of Dusk and Star as the sun was going down. Suddenly, there was a flash of light and they saw the Chaos immerging, with Dusk and Star there, much to their happiness. The living ship stopped at the shore and the two brothers went to reunite with their family.

The Lord of Chaos was watching that scene through his mirror, while sitting on his throne. Just the mere visage of that happy family made him sick.

“Just to think that this sickly happy family almost remained separated with me doing practically nothing…” he said. “Fortunately, my next plan will do just to trick. Chrysalis!”

And the image of the Queen of the Changelings appeared on the mirror.

“Did you call me, my lord?” she asked.

“I want to know if you already found them?” he asked.

“Ah… not quite” Chrysalis replied. “But don’t you worry. I and my changelings are pretty close, I can feel it.”

“Well, then, hurry up!” the Lord of Chaos demanded. “I can’t wait to put my new plan in motion.”

“Of course” Chrysalis said, while bowing her head.

“Once you have them, I want to you to go to Ponhenge” the Lord of Chaos directed. “It’s time to awake an old friend.”

“As you wish, my lord” Chrysalis said, disappearing from the mirror while making a final bow.

“Let’s see if my brother’s little ponies will be able to stand the villain I’m about to put on their path” the Lord of Chaos told. “The time for sweet revenge has arrived.”
