To sleep, perchance to dream. But for Lyra Heartstrings, sleep is a distant memory.

Ever since the royal wedding, her dreams have been filled with the horror of being a slave to the changelings. And they seem to be getting worse. They're getting so bad she can't even sleep through the night anymore. And with her sleeplessness comes new obsessions. Obsessions with a strange song. Obsessions with a strange word that doesn't seem to be in the dictionary - any of them!

Lyra must discover if she's going mad, or if there's something more sinister at work.

An interesting idea, to say the least.

I'll refrain from a proper review until a few more chapters have gone by, but for now, I'll call it promising. Liked and Faved.

Wow, this is a masterfully written chapter. Can't wait for the next part.

Bitch please. You obviously haven't met anyone like me yet.

o.o I am tracking and liking this now

You have my interest. Great concept, can't wait to see where you take this!

So, apparently Lyra struck just one note, and all the eggs got fertalized...all the eggs.

Ah, the plot thickens. Lyra is a changeling sleeper agent and now she's being spied on. This should be good.

Hm, so the plot thickens. Now the question is, are the daemons mentioned in this book just another word for changlings, or something else entirely?

Just wanted to let you know that you have got my attention with this fic. This first chapter is extremely tense and I'm curious to see where this goes (hopefully places). I don't have a lot of time with my busy schedule and all, but I will find time to continue. I'm always interested in stories that offer a fresh (and inherently better) perspective of Lyra's characterization than what the fandom has twisted her into (an abomination) and I'm very glad to have stumbled upon it.
