What a night

Trixie stood in her wagon, staring in the mirror. She brushed her mane with a light blue brush with her cutie mark on the back. No matter how many times she brushed it, one spot always popped back up. Trixie slammed the brush on the table and gazed into the mirror. She was wearing a black tuxedo top with a light blue tie and a white shirt under it.

Her eyes had bags under them and her face was flushed. “You can do this Trixie. You’re just taking the mare of your dreams on a date, no big deal.” She said nervously. Trixie shook her head.

“No! Trixie can do this!” She shouted as she put on her hat and grabbed the bouquet of flowers she had bought. They were pink, purple, and blue: to match Starlight.

Trixie marched out of her wagon and made her way to the castle, which was only a few feet away. She marched up the stairs and rang the doorbell.

” You can do this Trixie, all you have to do is take Starlight on a wonderful, already planned, date. I won’t blow this.” Trixie thought to herself. Suddenly, the front door swung open revealing Starlight. She wore a dark blue dress with sparkles on it that barely covered her flank. Her hair had been straightened and some of it draped over a part of her eye.

“Hi Trixie.” Starlight said in an angel's voice. Trixie’s face went beet red and her mouth went dry. How could she even form words with an angel right in front of her? ” So much for not blowing it.” She thought to herself. After a few seconds of silence, Starlight started to speak.

“Sorry if I’m overdressed, I didn’t know the occasion. I can go change if you want.” Starlight suggested.

“NO!” Trixie shouted, making Starlight flinch. “Trixie thinks you look...” Trixie searched for the word in her head. Stunning, marvelous, amazing, beautiful. “Great.” Trixie mentally facepalmed at that. Out of all the words she could’ve, use she used ‘great.’

Starlight chuckled making Trixie's heart pound loudly. Trixie quickly pulled the flowers from behind her back, hitting Starlight in the face with them.

“These are for you!” Trixie chuckled with a nervous smile. Starlight moved the flowers from her face, a few petals sticking onto her cheeks. She spat some out before speaking.

“Gee thanks.” Starlight thanked sarcastically. Trixie’s ears flattened.

” She hates them!” Trixie thought to herself. Trixie put her arm out for Starlight to grab.

“Sha’ll Trixie take you on our date?” Trixie asked. Starlight nodded her head and wrapped her arm around Trixie’s.

“Lead the way.” Starlight said. They both walked down the stairs and made their way to the dating spot.

“How has your counseling been going?” Trixie asked, trying to start a conversation.

“Oh well, it’s been-“ Starlight started to speak. Trixie zoned out, not listening to the words, but her voice. It was enchanting. The way her voice changed pitch when things were exciting and lowered pitch when it was boring. It made her heart race. They approached a large fancy restaurant. Starlight gasped when she saw it.

“Trixie, this is the fanciest restaurant in Ponyville, how did you even afford this?!” Starlight asked in awe.

“Being a great and powerful magical pays more than you think.” Trixie boasted. That was a lie, she had been saving up for weeks and had to go extra shows just to afford a decent table. It took her even longer to get a reservation. Trixie led Starlight inside and walked over to a brown unicorn stallion who stood at a podium. He looked over it glasses when he saw the two mares approach them. He looked uptight and snooty.

“I have a reservation under the name Lulamoon.” Trixie said. The stallion flipped through the reservation book. He looked up and adjusted his glasses.

“Right this way ladies.” The stallion said, leading them to there table. He opened a balcony door to reveal a table with a candlelight in the middle of it. He handed them their menus and walked away. Trixie pulled out a Starlights chair so she could sit down. She sat down across from her date. Once the host closed the balcony door, Starlight put her hooves on the table.

“I know your salary Trixie, how in Equestria did you afford such a fancy place with such a good view?” Starlight asked. Trixie’s ears flattened and she let out a sigh.

“Trixie might had saved up for this for a long time.” She admitted bashfully.

“I like the gesture and all, but you didn’t have to do all of this.” Starlight said, batting her eyes. Trixie wasn’t sure if she was trying to get her embarrassed on purpose, but it was working. Her face turned bright red and she hid her face behind her menu. Starlight picked up her menu and began to read. Trixie peaked her head out from behind the menu to see Starlight intently reading the menu. Her lips were puckered out slightly and her ears twitched. A waiter walked into the room holding a notepad and a pen. At that moment, Trixie realized she had been staring at Starlight for at least twenty minutes.

“May I take your order?” He asked. Starlight told the waiter her order, but Trixie was in too much of a love-stricken daze to hear what she was saying.

“I’ll have the same thing.” Trixie said in a bubbly voice. Once the waiter walked out, Starlight smiled.

“The stars are very pretty tonight.” Starlight stated while looking up at the sky. Trixie looked up to see thousands of stars lighting up the night sky. She looked back at Starlight who had a large grin on her face. Her eyes were sparkling, some would even say they were glimmering.

“Not as pretty as you.” Trixie said lovingly. Starlight looked at her with wide eyes, causing Trixie’s face to go red in realization.

“I um uh-buh.” Trixie stammered out. The waiter walked in with two bowls of soup. It was yellow with little bits of green in it.

“Oh look dinners here!” Trixie exclaimed. She levitated her spoon and shoveled a few spoonfuls into her mouth. Something tasted off. Starlight sipped her soup.

“This is really good.” Starlight said happily. Trixie nodded her head, but suddenly felt dizzy. Starlight started to speak about something, but it all sounded like her voice was echoing around her. Trixie started to sweat and she started shaking. Her throat started to burn.

“Are you okay? You look like you’re going to be sick.” Starlight asked in concern. Trixie felt her head spin.

“Trixie....is fine.” Trixie said, her voice shaking. The chair shifted from under her, and she collapsed on the floor with a loud thud. The last thing she heard was Starlight scream her name and everything went dark.

A soft beep echoed in Trixie’s mind, causing her eyes to open slightly. She shut her eyes from a bright before trying to open them again. She was in a white hospital room, laying on a bed. She rubbed her head and looked around to see Starlight sitting in the corner with her hooves in her hands.

“Starlight,” Trixie said, causing Starlight to look up. She broke out into a wide grin and ran over to Trixie, hugging her tightly. After she pulled away from the hug, Starlight punched Trixie in the chest lightly, but hard enough to hurt.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were deathly allergic to broccoli?! And why would you order broccoli soup?!” Starlight shouted angrily. Trixie might as well tell her the truth, it wasn’t like they would go on another date after this anyway.

“Trixie didn’t realize that she ordered it, she was to busy staring at the prettiest mare in the world,” Trixie answered. Starlights face turned bright red. She wasn’t used to getting compliments like that.

“Trixie tried for this date to be absolutely perfect because she loves you more than anything in the world, but I ruined it.” She admitted, her ears flattening. Starlight walked over to Trixie and kissed her on the cheek.

“You didn’t mess anything up at all, you did great. You took me to one of the fanciest restaurants in town! Besides, I would be up for a second date.” Starlight stated with a small smile. Trixie broke out into a large grin.

This was a great way to end a date.

I noticed a small handful of grammatical errors that might be worth reviewing, but really cute otherwise.

the picture is adorable

"You're just asking the mare of your dreams on a the date", really? You could've gotten an editor to proofread this thing. I'll gladly do it for you if you want. Just DM me. But that wasn't the only mistake you made. I can't give this story a like simply because the grammatical aberrations put me off. :/

It has its moments, but mostly this story is too shallow and too riddled with mistakes for me to have enjoyed reading it.

Cute! My ex-husband once ordered cinnamon strudel for us both on an early date before I'd got to the restaurant...he later found out I was allergic to cinnamon. I didn't get sick because I could tell what it was, but the smell made me icky and we had to leave early. ALWAYS ask if your date is allergic to any foods! Hilarious.

I um uh-buh

Smooth. Real smooth.

wow,lovely story
may i translate it into Chinese?
