I glad ember is taking spike. The fact is Celestia cares about her subjects as long she doesn't really have to know them and care about them. She put a baby in a child care and despite the fact that twilight parents probably tried to help but they didn't know anything about dragons and Celestia should have taken care of him until he was old enough to care for himself fully without him having possibly deny that he is a meat eater. She also should have taught twilight that paying attention to the world around her is important. Celestia only does that when she wants to and she missed the signs of darkness growing in rarity. The fact was even if she had lived she would been in major trouble considering Celestia couldn't go easy on her or it would like she doesn't care that she did bad things. Spike wasn't a pony so she chose not bother with him.
