After someone tries to break in to Twilight's house, she is contacted by Daring Do, who need her help in tracking down the legendary 'Pied Piper's Flute'...which was last seen by her Grandmother, Detective Aurella, many years ago.

Bringing along her grandmother's old journal, along with her friend Flash Sentry, Twilight races against the clock to get to the flute before it's too late.

Part of my 'Elements of Equestria' series.

All I can say is that this looks like it's going to be a darn good story so far. The exchanges, characterizations, (minor) action and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the scene with Twi and her grandmother in the flashback. And, yeah, Twi's instincts that the perp was looking for something specific are probably pretty accurate since I VERY seriously doubt that this was some third-rate small-timer that can be easily handled by any moderately competent police officers.

And, yeah, A.K./Daring's story-setting appearance toward the end of the chapter was well done too.

I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this.

VERY good job on this latest chapter. I LOVED the work on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I especially liked Twi's mental flash concerning the intruder the previous night and the hunt for the journal(s) .

I'll very certainly be looking forward to more of this.

Downright superb work on this latest chapter. Again, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all beautifully done in all the right places. I particularly liked how quickly Twilight and Flash were able to think of a logical sounding excuse to get to the town they needed to, the fact that Velvet had a couple of extra tickets for HER very near future trip to that very town, Flash's reaction to A.K.'s jabs concerning his intelligence as well as the added details concerning Aurella's case in Hamelin and how quickly the group picked up on the first clue .

Indeed, I WILL be most certainly be eagerly looking forward to more of this.

I like this story, I don't know what more to say.
BTW in the original story dose it not end with he taking all the children out of the town?
But as I said grate story update soon.

Once more, very good job on the latest chapter. I continue to love the work you are doing on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. I especially liked how Twilight figured out the part about the Moon Goddess temple and Flash figured out the part about the moon phases . Now, I KNOW these three can handle Caballeron and his goons (I mean, it's basically an egomaniac with some hired goons against an experienced adventurer and a high-level mage - PLUS Flash), but we'll have to see if they can do it WITHOUT losing the clue .

Anyway, I will definitely be looking forward to more of this.

Like Indiana Jones.

I think that's where the writers got the original inspiration for Daring Do anyway.

You are right.

Enjoying this so far! I’ll need to go back and read your earlier stories sometime soon.

Also cool to see Nine Men’s Morris brought up, haven’t played in years but I recall it being fun :-)

Thank you! I'm glad you like it! :pinkiehappy:

I've never heard of the game before, I found it while looking up board games played in Germany.

Excellent job on this latest chapter. I absolutely LOVED the invisibility spell to get past Caballeron and his goons without unnecessary violence , as well as the detail concerning German(e) board games and Daring picking up RIGHT AWAY on Flash's INSULTINGLY obvious crush on Twilight .

And, yeah, I am most assuredly going to be looking forward to more of this.

Great chapter

Great chapter!

Excellent work on the latest chapter. Once more, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter/climax set-up are all well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the music (with a "c" AND a "k") argument as well as Twilight figuring out the "backwards" writing off a memory of something her grandmother taught her and how all three of them figured out the "cemetery" clue .

Indeed, I AM very certainly going to be looking forward to the next chapter (which, I'm guessing will be either the second-to-last or third-to-last, judging by the set-up).

Awesome chapter!

Excellent work on this latest chapter. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places as usual.

I especially liked how Twilight, Flash and Daring all talked about how they were all inspired by Aurella as well as Twilight's psychic flash as to the next clue .

I am very certainly going to be looking forward to seeing where this ends up going.

Excellent job on this chapter once more. The exchanges, characterizations, action and climax set-up are all very well done in all the right places.

I particularly liked Twilight's actually showing even SHE gets tired of puzzles once in a while as well as Twilight, Daring and Flash escaping from Caballeron and Ahuizotl and how they were trying to think of the final clue before Twilight apparently flashed on the answer .

Indeed, I will definitely be looking forward to the next chapter (which, unless I miss my guess, will be either the last or second-to-last one).

Cool chapter!

Excellent job on the second-to-last chapter. The exchanges, characterizations, action and finale set-up are all quite well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the old man from earlier helping out the trio at the right moment and Twilight destroying the flute before Ahuizotl had a chance to use it (as well as Daring's reaction to the flute's destruction) .

I'll very definitely be looking forward to the final chapter.

Excellent work on the finale. I really appreciate all the work that went into this. I particularly liked the reveal concerning the identity of the old man and how the group spent the remainder of the trip sight-seeing and learning enough history to make the cover story (which Twilight temporarily forgot about) for their being in town more believable .

I am very certainly going to be looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Who knew Twilight Velvet knows about Daring Do.
