So until the character is old and gray can you have an opportunity to either go by day by day week by week year-by-year month by month you can pretty much have no actual time scale really as long as you’re consistent about it As long as you find a format that allows you to flush out your characters before you do some huge time jump

I can yes. I do plan on having a bit of a time jump to help speed things along but that's still a ways ahead. Right now I'm focusing on his beginnings and how he reacts and is effecting this new world he finds himself in.
These chapters will set up what's to come.
I've never actually read much in the way of Gamer stories concering crime, but I might just give this one a chance. Let's see where this ends up, shall we? Other than that, nice chapter. I fear for our dude when he'll have to face his parents next.

Well every kingdom needs a spymaster/underworld figurehead someone the throne can goto when they need something done but all legal means have failed and not every criminal organisation has to be evil ... if he gets strong enough and builds a territory he gets to set the rules about what goes on in it ... like limiting it to recreational drugs use not the harmful kind or professionaly run brothels with med benefits etc instead of pimp run slap factories ... he can set penalties for certain infractions like if anyone attacks anyone who pays protection fees or someone trying to run something in his territory like a pimp for example without his oking it. Yes he will have to make a few examples to show he will protect people who pay his fees for this but once made his people might even be better appreciated/feared then the police who are governed by the rules. Yah the guy might be arrested but he gets outta jail on bail while waiting for trial comes back and kills someone for getting arrested or your guys takes him out back beats the ever mother loving crap outta him and tells him if they see him again they kill his ass and feed his body to griffins.
