So I see you've read the Webcomic: "The Gamer", 'cause this story and that have incredibly similar vibes/themes. If not, then holy shit that's convenient. I'm still down to read this tho.
“Must I really do homework again? I thought I was passed that when I died,” I groaned, slightly annoyed.
Here you are, presented with a completely new world to explore, with completely new creatures - and apparently more than one sapient race, to boot, if your parental figures are anything to go by - and you're groaning because you have to go to a library and read lore?!
There's no pleasing some people, for fuck's sake...
I’d always loved learning new things, and now I was going to a place that would teach me new things.
INCONSISTENCY ERROR: conflicts directly with the expressed opinion quoted above.
This guy is all over the place, in my view. First he's against learning, then he's all for it... he's freaking out, but then calmly and rationally dismisses his previous ramblings... Is this part of his old character integrating with that of this child (and therefore intentional), or...?
I'd really like to continue this story, but it feels like it's got no direction, and things just happen because they happened to happen (read: they popped into the author's head as (s)he was writing). Maybe I'll come back to this story at some point down the line.

Homework is not a necessity to learn something new. One can hate homework and love learning. Also That line wasn't meant to be taken to seriously. I've grumbled and groaned about something before and then found out I enjoyed it or that it wasn't that bad in the first place.
oh hey its released
Well let’s see where this goes
Two gamer fics released in such a close timeframe? Did I miss my birthday again?

9044433
I can't believe I didn't catch that when I wrote it. I'm gonna leave it like that cause now I think it's funnier that way.
