It's a good thing that wasn't ominous, otherwise I might be worried that things will go terribly wrong in the near future.
By 'misinterpreted' I'd assume 'everything looks like a nail' while holding the hammer.
Did I click a Bloodborne story by accident what the fuck. Awesome
yeah they want to send you home so they can invade your world.
go to james or at least have the girls realize that unlike what their counterparts think general autaum was following his orders.
They think he is an outlier of the enclave but he actually is a representation of what the enclave is.
So the Fallout version of Fluttershy is one of the dwellers of the Oasis, uh? Neat! I wonder if she ever asked Harold how to be a tree?

How much you betting Pinkie can talk to Bob?
9591430
I may have to pinch that joke
9591451
She'll call him Herbert though
gotta say; was half expecting this and half not.
Was surprised that they didn't ask about James and Adam.
I was almost thinking it was Mamma Murphy having the ending vision.
You are really good at doing visions I may take some pointers from this.
Another great chapter and now the agonizing wait for the next one
AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
I feel like your really pushing towards the girls allying with the enclave, and I would really urge you to put a stop to that line of thinking without first concocting a BIG way for them to earn their trust, because I dont know if youve ever been assaulted and hospitilized before but after that you dont exactly turn around and trust someone, even if they have a halfway decent justification for their actions. Anything less then a massive show of trust is going to look unearned, and frankly stupid, and I am worried that you are going to fall into the easy trap of just hand waving assault, kidnapping, theft, nearly accidently murdering someone's close friends, and then forcibly transporting someone a great distance and then saying their free only to have the entire place suruounded by danger, further hammering home the "help or die" undertones.
I almost forgot there were psykers. It'll be interesting to see how their powers relate to the Rainbooms' magic, if at all, and whatever their prophetic visions mean.

Glad you liked the vision! It was surprisingly tricky getting it to flow properly .
What happened to Adam and the others is going to be part of a long list of questions the girls have, which will be addressed over the next couple of chapters.

I was worried the chapter might give off that vibe suffice to say, the girls don't trust the Enclave as far as they can throw them, but they may be willing to trust Doctor Strong. Not much of a distinction, perhaps, but an important one.
Also, right now they have no magic or weapons, and they're at the mercy of a foe that already wiped the floor with them once. Playing nice is their only option at the moment. I'll go into detail about it next chapter, but don't worry, I promise the girls aren't going to just happily roll into bed with the Enclave just because one scientist seems nice.

Sorry for the block of text but this is a great story and I can feel you walking towards a grave cliche and awful writing sin that way too many other stories have done for the sake of convience.
I dont know, its sad to say but I've seen stories like this where they go, "well what else are we going to do?" and then go along, or trust the person but not the orginization, having never conceptualized that the person's loyalties are ultimately to the orginization and not them. Or that in the end even if the scientist or inidivudal is more or less blameless they still aided and abetted their capture and are actively working to keep them under lock and key with veiled threats of violence, something a real person would never ever agree to unless that threat of violence become more out in the open. In real life if someone did all that to you (kidnap, assault, almost murder, theft, detention, vieled threats of violence) would probably dig in your heels, refuse to do anything at all, and simply never cooperate while actively trying to think of an escape plan or you managed to guilt them into letting you leave, or they realized that feeding and housing you was too costly and let you go, or they sit down and have the talk where the scientist says "Work with us or we are going to kill you and your friends." Also too many stories like this simply never acknoledge how truly abdhorrent their behavior is, which I get, as a writer you see that they had a decent reason, but the audience 99% of the time will not agree with that sentiment that "they just work there" as thats litterly what nazi war criminals used as a defence and it rings as hallow when they used it, as when characters in fiction use it. And that is a big thing writers overlook, due to us simply having a perfect understanding of the situation. Also a minor point I would advise you consider is making sure we 'see' the characters who are in the situation really lay the guilt on thick as the enclave, and by extension the scientists committed acts of violence and crimes so great that if they were in the real world, would likely end up in multiple life sentances. Which is something that cannot, and should not be hand waved away.
Also a minor note, but I dont think any of the characters would ever have a reason to trust with, or work with someone that nearly murdered several of their freinds. Obviously Rainbow Dash would never, but I feel like every other character would probably feel similiarily, and would treat this more as an unlwful imprisonment that must be escaped with violence if neccessary. And not something that they would just go "Okay the evil organization that brutalized us has one nice person so we can trust them and ignore the rest, even though we know that the only person we really trusted in this world explicitly stated that they should not be trusted at all, especially with magic."
If I can offer a short bit of advice, you need to go two ways with this in order for it to make sense. Either they treat this like they are being imprissoned and they refuse to work with it while guilting the scientists for their cruelty, or they pretend to work with them for the express purpose of trying to find out how to escape only for an attack to happen, forcing them to be on the same side and ultimately cementing that they have built two way trust.

I really want to give a proper response to this, because frankly it's an amazing point, but I don't want to give away spoilers all I can say is I've planned the next few chapters out, and I believe/hope that they'll lay some of your concerns to rest. There's twists coming.
9592234
If you want to PM me we can talk their if youd like, I dont give away spoilers and I already have a strong idea as to where your twisting to.
9592255
Tempting, but I'd still like to at least attempt to surprise you
9592296
Good luck!
whens next chapter I need more

I try to update every two weeks, usually on Fridays if I can help it. If I can get a decent buffer together I'll see if I can go back to a chapter a week for a while
wait a ship?
Bit of falling action and foreshadowing setting up for the next arc.
ANd Dr. Strong is proving why it's possible to trust the cogs while despising the machine. It's always sad to see good people being used as pawns.
Given the state of the Enclave after the Lone Wanderer is done with them I'm almost worried for the scientists
Almost
They're still Enclave
Bloomseer, to Flutter: Co-o-o-ome in-n, Chosen One.

For real. I’ve hunted and killed every single Enclave personnel in Raven Rock
You magnificent bastard, you.
11146900
Finally got the foreshadowing?
11147358
i understand NOTHING
im cool with that
Hmmmmmm.........
Sunset- Becky
Twilight- Tara
Rarity- Tabitha
Pinkie- Diane
I think:
- Two moons
- One surrounded by inky clouds
- One enclosing a star
- Great winged beast
Luna
Trixie
Sonata
....... THIS is proper foreshadowing!
And, if I'm following correctly (not using names), we see the counterparts for the deaf, the traumatized, and the transformed in that order.
Magnificently done!
I'm going to have to strongly object to this storyline. It could be true that their genetic similarities would make them practically twins, BUT it is utterly impossible for any of the Rainrooms to have an exact genetic match to anyone in the wasteland. Simply because of the coloration of their skin, and hair has to come from a genetic process that non-EQG humans don't have.
The EQG universe is supposed to have no magic, so there needs to be a genetic process for the radical variations in tha skin, and hair color that are in the EQG universe.
God fucking damn it I just got the joke with their names
For a second I thought one of the girls counterparts would be a slaver, but then I realized it's more likely to be a common trader (I hope)
