Lots to unpack here! Seems that our Pitt team is stuck fetching steel from the Yard, and the raiders are smelling some bullshit coming from them. I can't help but wonder if they're gonna keep being sent back until the Steelyard is empty.
Meanwhile, in the simulation, everyone has magic now! We caught a little glimpse of Luna's, and it looks very Nightmare-esque!
I await the next chapter with great eagerness! 200th chapter, here we come!
Take your time with writing, you doing great work. Cannot wait to see in what condition is our Sunny.
I hope AJ punching stuff will be to stun it enough that she can grab its feet and use it to blundgeon other stuff to paste and scrap.
Adam recovering in time to see this and to remind her theyre supposed to keep it Low key?
Luna and crew really need to find healing packs, and Trixie is getting trained in Kryten special.
Excuse me sir, may I distract you for a moment?
Does anyone else feel like this arc is dragging on? Maybe it's just that I felt like Anchorage was a huge slog when I played it, but I'm really looking forward to when they're done and the play-by-play is a little tiresome.
11803058
Yeah, Operation Anchorage isn't the most engaging of the dlcs, no matter how much it's fiddled with. There's only one chapter left of the simulation itself, then I'll be putting more focus on the Pitt and a certain little arc that'll finish off Act II
Almost missed this chapter. FIMFICTION changed the settings to no 18+
Oh god I’m sacred for Adam and AJ now. Not sure if this radstorm is part of the in-game mechanic for Mill Worker, but I hope they find some way to survive it unscathed and the mutations being referred to are those of Luna and Trixie.
Luna and Trixie just learned to get cold as ice. Probably for the best. One thing I don’t get is that if Sonata was pulped in the simulation shouldn’t she have died in the real world?
11803170
That would depend on the rules of the simulation.
You die in game and;
Option 1: Something fries your brain / your brain stops working. ie Sword Art Online / Matrix.
Option 2: You get shunted out back into the real world and carry on like normal.
Option 3: You get put in a suspended state until the Game Master decides what to do with you. ie how much angst can he squeeze out of the others.
And guessing that since the good doctor() wants more fun he's defaulting to option three. They're just so entertaining!
Ok, first of all i want to apologize for my previous comment where I've said that not even you can make this garbage of a dlc entertaining. Clearly i was wrong, and how glad i am that i was.
Second, holy shit that was such a good chapter. And, Luna snd Trixie got new powers. From my understanding, Trixie seem to have some explosive powers, and Luna can transform into a shadow person. I don't think she transforms into fog, i think she transformes into a shadow of some kind. Pretty sure she can still move around and stuff.
Third, i am quite sure Applejack will suffer a mutation, the problem is what kind of mutation. What i think is going to happen is that she will get some kind of regeneration. You know, because frong can regrow some of they lost limbs. Or at least i think so, I'm not an expert in frogs but i think that's true, and considering that it's a mutated frog that bit her, well, the chances are higher for AJ to get that type of mutation. Or i could be wrong and she gets frog legs or something.
11804858
Eeeehhh, not quite. Trog in Fallout 3 is short for troglodyte, basically a human that has devolved into a monster due to the toxins in the Pitt. If we're talking about mutations, it's possible she gets something like extra speed or something else like that, but if we were talking real-world, it would absolutely lead to an infection.
Take your time with the next chapter boss. Quality over quantity and all that.
Great chapter. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of the ark. Hopefully we hear more from the other gitls soon.
Keep going, this story keeps getting better as it goes on.
I hope everything is going well on your end.
I have a list. Firstly, awesome chapter, thank you so much :). Secondly, those are perfect powers for Luna and Trixie. Thirdly (this must be read with some speed to convey my excitement) I cannot wait for what you have planned for the Pitt, that's my fave ark rn and AJ punching stuff? Sold, immediately sold. (And I know it's been touched on before, but I am getting a strong feeling that AJ and Adam will not be leaving the Pitt with the same health status they came in with)
This made me laugh.😆
I wonder if Eden will meet Button Gwinnett?
I hope in the next chapter there will be an update on the status of Sunset.
God help you if you like reading Star Trek crossovers then. When i found a fanfic here called Star Trek: Phoenix, i loved it and when i realised parts of it was referencing events from The Next Generation i ended up downloading and watching the entire series and from there i became a casual Trekkie thanks to that fanfic. I should watch Lower Decks since it was crossed over with Strange New Worlds.
Daaaaaang can hardly wait for the next chapter!

Well, after searching fallout 3 trog on google, and seeing pictures, i can safely say that it seems i was wrong. For some reason i believed that the trog was actually a radfrog. Uuuu boy how wrong i was. Thanks for pointing that out... But that makes me think of what kind of mutation Aj will suffer yet again. After researching the trog, I've managed to find a site that shows the stats of a trog in fifth edition (i did try to find more about the trogs, but there doesn'tseem to be much information on them). Assuming that this information is correct, trogs have high strength, dexterity and construction. And their bio says that when they see a victim, they start running at high speed, and ripping everything apart. From this i can gather a few things about what kind of mutation Aj will suffer, and that is either regeneration, radiation resistance or worst case scenario, some form of berserker state in which she attacks everything, friend or foe. The regeneration is simple, as the trog have high stats in constitution, you could argue that they have some sort of healing passive. The radiation resistance, well, i don't need to explain, basically the same as Adam, after all, once you become a trog, you gain immunity to radiation. And last, berserker rage. I believe this will be the one that Aj eventually gets. It makes sense. The regeneration is basically just a theory, we don't know for sure if they have regen, i just theorized based on the high con. stats, but this could as well be wrong. The rad resistance falls as well, Adam and Fluttershy already have resistance to radiation, and I don't think Universal wants to give everyone resistance to radiation. But now, hold up a minute, you might say that the trogs have BIG, THICC and Muscled legs, they can go fast. Well yeah, but going fast is Rainbow's thing, so the speed falls as well. The strength and dexterity the trogs have wouldn't make sense as Aj already has those(more str then dex, but I'm sure she has pretty high dex). And so, the only possible answer is the berserker state. After all, Universal did say there will be a lot of punching. I actually think i nailed this theory.

Now that sounds like a serious possibility.
I've been reading the last chapter again in anticipation to the next one, and i'm sorry, I've said it a million times, but I'll say it once more. I'm so, SO glad you decided to not bring Principal Celestia and Princess Twilight into this world. Because i just now realized why that would have been a very bad decision. Luna met Sunset and the girls and realized that, she couldn't take control of the situation. She saw what Sunset and the others have become and knew that if she tried to become the leader (because she is older and is their teacher) things would go bad. She knew that Sunset was the leader, and she knew that the girls will not follow anyone else other then Sunset, even their once teacher. No, Sunset was their leader, Sunset was the commander, and so, she realized that she was unfit to be the leader of the Rainbooms and lead them. She knew that she was better off to try and keep Trixie and Sonata safe then to keep the Rainbooms safe as well. Celestia wouldn't get that. She would immediately try to get control over both groups and not let them do anything. She would wait for things to fix by themselves, to let others handle it. And in doing so, dooming them to this hellish place for longer or indefinitely. Celestia wouldn't realize that the Rainbooms were no longer high-school girls, but in fact veteran soldiers, she would not trust them with the safety of the groups. Princess Twilight is worst. She would keep going on about friendship and try her best to get her friends home, but, like Sci-Twi, she would probably break fast. And the Rainbooms seeing their leader crumble and break, would themselves break. Twilight would try to befriend and give the villains a second chance, only to be immediately betrayed and suffer the consequences, even worst, the rest of the girls would face the consequences. Princess Twilight does not understand the concept of killing, and i think she never will. God i love this fic so much. Sorry i keep rambling and posting comments, it's just, sometimes it just comes into my head and i have to write it.
One thing I can see happening is that Applejack will grab someone by the ankle and slam them around like a human metronome until their head is mushed just like what happened in Invincible.
If you like Star Trek, you should watch the true Star Trek as in deep space nine. Yeah, I’m not the biggest fan of the new trek intern lol
Love the new abilities though that’s cool

That sounds cool.

What do you mean? The story did change. Think about how much change they brought with them. Unity, Shepard, the wars between The Brotherhood and The Enclave, The peace treaty between those two factions. One of the cities is now a hub for magic and for people to learn how to control it and use it. The difficulty going up 4 times because of magic and the new magical creatures that start to show up. A new religion that focuses on worshipping Sunset and the rest as well as harmony. It changed. The story changed dramatically over the game.

The dude is pretty chill to be honest. He is a good character. Also don't worry, it will not last. It's one of my least favorite part of this fic but it's not that bad. What was bad was that Corpse party thing, still don't understand what went trough Universal's head when he wrote that. But yeah, the flirting will not last, dont worry.
Although now that i think about the early parts of this fic i do wonder, what is happening back in Canterlot? We haven't heard from them in a while. What are Twilight and Something the bearded doing? What is Celestia doing, considering that her sister, another one of her student and Sonata got transported to that world? Matter of fact, what are Adagio and Aria doing? Their sister did not return home, how are they taking all of this? Who are they blaming? Many questions and not enough answers.
Finally caught up again. Loved that exciting scene against the pint sized slasher. Good luck with chapter 200, hope it comes out as special as you hope.
President Eden really is a faithful and very well represented example of all the presidents of the United States, not one escapes this standard
Hold up, I've just realized something.
I will write in in spoiler mode just to avoid complications.
When Luna, Trixie and Sonata got dragged in the fallout world, the magic managed to spread out into several other worlds. I remember Twilight saying so. Now here is the big question. Is this going to bite them in the ass later? Like, because there is Equestrian magic in more worlds, they have to find the correct one before opening the portal? Or something like one of those world managing to find and locate where the new magic came from and trying to open up a portal on their own? Or, hear me out. This will have consequences in the sequel. The author already said that he is planning for one after Fallout Girls will finish, and i don't
think the only think that will happen in it will be how the girls manage to readjust to society. And the magic that spread out into multiple other worlds coming to bite them would make for an interesting story. Just a thought, but it does make sense.
Checking in on this awesome story!
...I've been playing fallout 3 again because i enjoy this story and let me tell you, from the mental description from this story and the actual game, it's so different. locations i mean. I've been playing some fallout 76 and i guess that influenced me, as i was thinking the world still has some green in it, buy was i wrong about that when i started playing fallout 3 again.
The next part I'll write in spoiler just to be sure i avoid complications.
One thing i have found that i have thought wrong is the locations such as Megaton. In my mind, from this story, i thought that the city is much bigger. Like, i knew it was inside a crater
and i knew it wasn't that big, but when i got to Megaton i was like "Is that it?". Like, the city is so much more smaller in the game then what i thought it was (probably because the game is old and there is kind of old and it couldn't support a bigger city or something). Another one is Rivet city. I just got to it in the game, and the size of it, well it matches the description from this story, but, for some reason, i thought that the ship was half on water and half on land, i also thought that it was surrounded by a forest, or at least by trees. Also, i thought the bridge, was actually an elevator for some reason, like an actually elevator, because i thought that half of the ship was on land. You can imagine my disappointment when i got to Rivet city and i was like "Ah, i got it all wrong". Honestly my version that i got from this story is so much more better. Another thing i wanted to talk about, Behemoths, they are not as i envisioned them. they are just bigger versions of a super mutant. I have thought that they look something like the behemoths that you see in fantasy games like dnd and others. Like actuall Behemoths. Nope, just bigger super mutants. I guess that's cool, but, not as cool as the mental pictures that i created when i read this story. Now, there are two possibilities as to why the version that i get from reading this story is different then the actual game.
1. Because i remembered the game wrong. It's been so long since i have last played it until recently, and i might have forgotten what the enemies and locations look like.
2. The mental images and description i got from reading this are mostly correct, and Universal actually made changes in the environment and some enemies, because let's be honest, fallout 3 is old, and so, he had to make changes. Idk why but i feel like Universal's description is far different then the actual game, and FAR better. Like i said with Rivet city, i imagined it being surrounded by trees, not by a desolate city. I mean, the destroyed
city in my mind was not far from Rivet city, But when Luna, Trixie and Sonata were escorted by brotherhood knights from Project Purity to Rivet city i imagined them walking in a forest, or at least being surrounded by a lot of trees. dead trees as it was winter, but trees. Like in a park or preserved mini forest or something. It's so much more cooler and choose to believe that this is what Universal intended when he wrote this. It's my cannon.
I will stick with this version, because it is so much more cooler then the actual game.
When will chapter 200 come? if you don't mind me asking. And are you still continuing this story?
11879429
The next chapter is on its way, its just taking a while as its going to be a little larger than usual (much like Chapter 100 was). I'm determined to get it out by the end of the month, after which, fingers crossed, I'll be getting back to more regular updates.
Lower decks is what every Rick and Morty ripoff wants to be. A genually funny show. It wobbles a bit, but as it leans further into the Star Trek memes the better it gets.
I almost named my kittens Mariner, boimler, and Rutherford.
But good, join the trekkies, we are the OG nerds, we started the conventions, the fandoms, some would argue the entire internet.
It VYGR all the way down
