I did NOT expect some of the VA's to be Enclave staff. Or be related. The multiverse sure hates Sunset. Ain't life grand?
Interesting devolment. Looking forward to seeing where all this going even more so now. Oh, and congrats on getting featured again.

Ta very much!
i think Sonata would be a good guy after a good fight like Majin Buu!!! from dragon ball!
9271457
Pretty sure that they're named after the VAs, but in truth are dimensional counterparts. Andrew Strong, for instance, seems to be Shining Armor.
Now I'm pondering who the mysterious woman in the final part of the chapter is, though, who is manipulating the human Sunset Shimmer. There are a couple of ponies who I could see it be, including the Equestrian version of Abacus Cinch or maybe even Queen Chrysalis, but I feel like the story's going to throw a curveball.
Yes! 😃😀😄😜
Moar!
Two sunset?
Hacking and lies? Secrets?!
What else will befall our heroines?!
Find out in the next FoG!

You're absolutely right, every counterpart character is either going to be named after their VA, or given another name that links them to their equestrian version in the case of the VA voicing more than one character...
Every other oc I come up with is also being given a name that is meaningful in some way. EVERY named oc...
9271596
Fallout 3 I'm afraid, though I will be borrowing elements from the other fallout games to an extent
It appears that this story is good enough that I've been informed of its update by the featured list rather than my tracking bookshelf. Considering that I was checking my tracking every other minute while searching for new stories to read, that's a pretty impressive feat, since it means that it got on the featured list moments after being uodated.
Blatant reference, much? But then again, 'Tara' already is one.
Anyway, about the sudden reveal of lots of plot-changing information in this chapter... all I can say is that any attempts at guessing where this'll go have been setback a lot.
Also, go Princess Twilight! I believe in you!
Oh, and a message for the not-Equestrian Sunset Shimmer: Think very carefully about what you are doing. While you may think that you're doing a service, all we can see is an egocentric person whose actions have endagered two worlds and the lives of seven people who are close to our hearts. Granted, your Equestrian counterpart was worse at first, but now a lot of people like her, so there's hope for you yet. Please, don't be a fool.
(That being said, I can only see things getting worse before it gets any better.)
Wow, things just got real complicated real quick.
9271602
I'm still not exactly sure how the featured page works entirely, but either way I'm happy!
About Shining... Yeah it was just a tad overboard, but I can't do all of them subtly
I figured this chapter might throw a wrench in people's expectations, but the twists aren't done yet!
I just hope I can pull off everything I have planned without screwing it up
9271601
So long as you are taking the power armor from Fallout 4, I will be happy.
Don't get me wrong, Fallout 3 is a great game, but I hated the way they did power armor just being a regular suit of armor you strap on like a vault suit. The way Fallout 4 did power armor not only made more sense to me, but also made me FEEL like I was a walking tank.
The fusion cores burned out a little too fast for my tastes, but that's why mods exist.
9271617
I'll largely be using the armour from Fallout 4, I did try to fit in a subtle reference to it with Tara designing new servos for the hellfire armour, but I'm not going to really go into much detail until the Brotherhood of steel becomes a bigger part of the story.
9271634
I hear the beta has been having quite a bit of trouble
Here we see the biggest problem with the enclave. Tara is a perfect example of head up ass syndrome. she wants to help the wasteland, problem is she probably not traveled far if at all from Raven rock. So she pretty insulated in her own little world not realizing the pain and suffering the enclave is causing with their methods. How can you help people if you don't interact and understand them? I hope the girls and Tara and Rebecca meet bounus if they figure they are dimensional counterparts.
9271689
Well leaving off on a cliffhanger to not finish it off in the next chapter does irritate me I can see that this was a point you could have done this. That being said I do have a few questions/comments after reading this. I see you're making more VAs into their alternate characters which makes some sense since you can't call them by their character names as those would be strange names for the Fallout world.
It does make me wonder how many more of this will show up eventually.
I can see that Project Exodus is the Enclave's plan to leave the world that they helped screw up to invade another world. And I do believe invade is accurate with how the Enclave operate. Personally I hope that their project never works or they get sent to a really nasty place since they deserve it for all the crap they do. Depends on if Enclave Twi deserves it as well, she does seem to hold Wastelanders in the same low opinion as other Enclave members and she did grow up in this kind of environment so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see how twisted the Enclave life style made her, in fact that might be interesting to see.
I'm not sure why a stationary object would need GPS, wouldn't it have been easier for Micro to just discover that someone slipped a wi-fi stick into a USB connection in the computer? Since this group has the Earth Sunset it would be easier for her to just walk right into the school and no one would question it. Hell they could have broken in at night and slipped it in even. I'm also guessing the reason Earth Sunset is in on this is again something the other Sunset did most likely taking over her identity or since I bet Sunset and the Rainbooms have been all over the internet and even a film it would be hard for Earth Sunset not to notice someone walking around looking like her.
Not sure who the mysterious person is as all the other villains were accounted for in the EQG series in this chapter.
Although there is one thing about the portal that you had Twilight overlook, you said there had to be Equestrian magic on both ends which is why they were sucked up to begin with. Well why doesn't she modify her portal in Equestria to look for them? That way the geode's that the girls have in Fallout would in theory be an anchor for the portal if it's opened in Equestria? By what you wrote this it sounds like this is how it would work safely. Then they just got to step through the mirror and they're home. Granted it would take time to modify and set up plus they already know that the Earth portal was compromised once somehow and they have no idea who or how they knew about the machine it would make sense not to use it as it's unsecured.
9271719
Several good points, I'll try to answer them all satisfactorily!
The cliffhanger is a bit of a dick move, but honestly I just wanted to be a tosser just this once
There will be a fair few counterparts turning up, though some of them (including some already introduced) are going to be more subtle than others.
As for the Enclave and Tara... you'll have to wait and see
The Diviner's gps is mentioned in passing in the very first chapter, basically the Diviner was built to find Equestrian magic in the EQG world, the gps would allow the girls to see exactly where the magic was hiding.
For Princess Twilight, her and Starswirl are going to have a long discussion about the safest way to open the portal while trying to find out who sabotaged their project and why. Twilight herself is going to be understandably paranoid about safety from here on out
9271719
I hope Tara and Rebecca get into a situation where they are forced to travel the wasteland with the main 6 and the lone wanderer forced to actually interact with the people of the wasteland and see how the Enclave treat the wastelanders and that wastelanders aren't a bunch of idiots. Maybe meet a few(hundred) people who lives were runed because of the Enclave. In short get grabbed by the metaphorical neck and have their metaphorical heads roughly get pulled out their ass.
9271647
It is gonna be like Fallout 4 all over again.
People make videos critisizing them for views then people jump on the bandwagon.
9271983
Hopefully not, but I fear you're probably right
Hmm. The mystery woman seems to have an implied familiarity with Equestria. As such, she's most likely Equestrian in origin. Other than that though, we have very little to actually go off of in terms of identity.
What do we know about this person?
Her end goal probably has something to do with Equestria, and she wants to return there.
One important thing I don't know about her is what she brings to the table. She might be the mastermind of the plan this group is enacting, but other than that, I'm not entirely sure what she's contributing that Sunset and the Sirens can't do themselves. Sunset might be a nice, if misguided, person, but I'm wondering what makes the Sirens keep the mystery woman in on this shindig. All I can think of at the moment is that she doesn't have the entire plan revealed, but is instead spoonfeeding it out piecemeal. Which feeds into the whole scheming manipulator personality. Maybe she has some skills or abilities as yet unrevealed, I don't know.
Another thing I'm not sure of is her motivation, the end goal. The Sirens clearly just want to go back to Equestria. The local Sunset wants control over the portal, or to at least hand that control over to someone else. The mystery woman? It sure seems like she plans on going (back) to equestria, but other than that, her actual goals elude me.
All that in mind, my prime suspect, for now, is probably Chrysalis.
She is completely a scheming manipulator, from Equestria, and coincidentally, a dark figure.
I can't think of an existing villain that better fits the profile of this mystery woman. Of course, I also have a big soft spot for Chrysalis, so that might be playing into it.
Maybe this is a completely hereunto unseen villain, in which case I had no hope of guessing their identity anyhow. Besides that though, I'm placing a bet on Chrysalis as the identity of this mystery figure.
This is exciting. Mahahah.
Hope they have a bit of redemption in this story and not eliminated, but what happens will be interesting.
WWWHHHHAAATTTTT!!!!!!
Is this Missy?
Only good video of her I could find
9271613
NICE!!!
You know thinking about it, Missy was a terrible guess
So doesn't Human Sunset have a minor version of pony Sunset's empathy power?
And who's our mystery woman? Chrysalis, the Pony of Shadows, Human Starlight?
9274820
rainbow dash a gun nut is born
Sunset Shimmer nodded, “Good. That sort of power should be kept in the hands of someone responsible.”
This actually pissed me off a bit. So, good job?
They know the portal is working right now yes?
Why don't they just walk through the statue portal?
9278169
Not entirely...
9272219
Impressive deductive skills though there was one small, subtle thing that may have slipped by...
Whether or not your instincts are correct remains to be seen
9273216
Oh the plans I have for those Sirens
9278188
That's slightly worrisome
9278188
No really, WHY don't they just walk back through? If the princess JUST came through recently, logic demands that they acknowledge that its open, lest she become trapped on the wrong side.
9279116
Basically they have no idea how the portal is guarded on the other side (the mystery woman has a good idea, but she's keeping the information on a very tight leash for reasons of her own)
9272219
Chrysalis was my first thought, but then I thought about maybe it's a Nightmare?
Going out on a limb here and R63 version King Sombra?
???
9292116
Nice guess, but I'm avoiding rule 63 in this fic
9294209
I don't know about that. If the heroes aren't drugged and brought totally under Pinkamena's mercy, there's not much to be scared of; they can fight back, after all.
... Unless Pinkamena has OP Meta Powers, in which case you better pray to Celestia or the power of your choice that you have Invincible-Grade Plot Armor; if you don't, your life is forfeit.
This story is either going to choke or take years to finish.
9436092
Once I've managed to build up a half decent buffer I'm hoping to update more often, but yeah this fic is planned to last a while
Accidentally sending the girls to the wasteland isn't going to backfire massively when they get back to Canterlot High or anything.
And God damnit Sunset you had to be evil didn't you.
9452567
I don't think she's evil, she seems more like Sci-Twi in the Friendship games, an unwitting antagonist
So we get a chapter to see the other plotlines moving a bit.
The Enclave are moving forward with project Exodus
Canterlot High islooking into the mysteries of what went wrong and have discovered sabotage.
And meanwhile, in the Legion of Doom, villains are being villainous!
Tara and Andrew are the Twilight and Shining armor of this reality, and you used the V.A's names...you cheeky bugger. I feel slow for not figuring it out sooner, but yeah...this is gonna be interesting.
Well frig then. Stupid sabotage and there isn't anything for the diviner to connect to currently. Also this clearly can't be Sunset's sunset.
Ah yes Subtlety
9278188
Me, coming from the future:
man i was a-okay with just having the squad be in fallout, didnt expect a whole ass plot going on on this side.
