This world his ripped those girls apart
Maybe the magic will rip the world more ounce those girls are broken maybe.
Oh, boy. I hope Sunset gets a chance to recuperate and heal herself mentally once Unity’s dead. That’s probably wishful thinking at this point, though.
Trixie’s not much safer. She could be killed for waking Sunset up like she fears, or she could wake up to find Sunset standing over her, looking for relief and wearing a huge-ass strap-on.

Synths vary depending on model. Harkness is seemingly somewhere between very late Gen. II and Gen. III.
Gen. I Synths are very much just bipedal androids and that's it: They look like human skeletons with machinery made to look like like mechanical takes on human organs.
Gen. II Synths are not much different from Gen. I Synths, only that they've been outfitted with plastic and rubber skin covering. From a distance they may be mistaken for a human, but barely, as their eyes have an electronic glow like Gen. I Synths and they function pretty much the same: Synthesized voice, no variety; it's like a maneuverable mannequin.
Gen. III Synths are indistinguishable from humans made using the pure genetic template of Father, aka Shaun, the son of the Sole Survivor who was abducted from Vault 111 likely somewhere around 2227 give or take, as well as mutations and adaptations using some unknown strain of FEV. They're made from artificially grown bones that are assembled via a machine into a skeleton, then another machine grows in the tissue and nervous system by some unknown means, then another seemingly "activates" it via electric stimulation, then it's dunked into some sort of pool that seemingly grows the skin. The only mechanical component is a small device inside the brain than allows the Institute to program and control them via voice commands.
There are some unique Synths that don't match each category specifically. Such as Nick Valentine, DiMa and Harkness. Nick Valentine is somewhere between Gen. II and III: He's fully mechanical, has the plastic and rubber outer shell (with noticeable wear and tear), and was planted with the neuro-scanned mind and memories of a pre-War police detective, the original Nick Valentine, hence he has all the memories and skills of the human Nick up to the point where his brain was scanned, which allowed him to set up as a private detective. DiMa is the same model as Nick, only instead of being planted with a pre-existing mind was allowed to develop his own mind and personality.
Harkness is unique in that he's partially organic and partially robotic, so basically like a cyborg Synth. He's clearly got largely an organic body, but as Pinkerton was working on him it's evident he's not yet a full-on stand-in for a human, i.e. some of his insides, possibly his brain even are robotic, or at least partially. This could be connected to the fact that the Institute had an asset that was Conrad Kellogg, a mercenary originally from the West Coast NCR territory who had been cybernetically augmented to be more powerful than a normal human, right down to having transplants in his brain, so Harkness might have been created sometime during the development of Gen. III Synths, which could make him quite old by human standards.
Of course, since FEV was involved in the creation of Synths, and as evidenced; Super Mutants seemingly don't die from old age and are immune to disease, and with the Institute's tampering, it's not that surprising that he looks like someone in their prime.
Granted, I do have some qualms with how Gen. III Synths are written: The fact they apparently don't need to eat or drink to generate energy, yet have the ability to process food, but then they also don't lose or gain weight, despite being pretty much artificially built humans. The fact they don't age, at least externally, I can buy, again with the FEV element. This does, however confuse me as to how a DNA test apparently can't identify a Synth from a human since, if going by information from Fallout 1, the Forced Evolutionary Virus' adaptive capability stems from the fact that, at least with Super Mutants; it takes the DNA and converts it from a double-helix structure to a quadro-helix structure with the original genetic makeup taken and added with an array of new improvements. So you'd think something as basic as a blood test would indicate that the DNA of a synth doesn't exactly match a normal human. Then again, this could just be Bethesda being lazy (after all, "It just works.")
MMM, drugs not good. I seem to recall a certain Little Pip having quite an issue with those...
Glad to see Luna is already taking responsibility. She may not have the guts to shoot another person yet, but knowing how is the first step.
I see this going down two ways. Unity is coming for the Enclave next, without a doubt. The three newcomers need training for this reason. They will either escape her grasp before then, and find themselves abandoned in the wastes as the Enclave fall under her control, or they will not escape, and if her control is ever broken, they will find themselves surrounded by formerly mindcontrolled subjects, who may not wish them well.
These three all need weapons training, and fast.
Okay, this is strange, but am I the only one kind of seeing the potential for SunTrix in the future?
11063417
Nope! So am I!
11062703
WHATTT?? I hope Sunset is not that broken and where would she find a strap-on in this house?
11063480
Well, probably not. She’s not that cracked, at least not yet. I’ve got a nasty cold and I’m all hopped up on DayQuil, so my thoughts are a bit out there today.
God knows Becky has a strap-on or two Sunset can borrow, though.
11063497
They'd even fit her perfectly!
11063520
Yep!
Dear lord…. what madness is this mixture? It sounds like the best case scenario would be permanent brain damage to Sunset. In all seriousness though, this sounds like the type of medicine I would keep over 10 miles away from my body just because of how dangerous it sounds.
Just saying,
SonicDJM
11063497 I would have thought it would be Tara Strong who would be the one with the "stick".
An increase in demonstrated empathy. I wonder what that’ll mean for Sunset. Will her powers become stronger? Whatever happens, I just hope this modified drug won’t leave her fucked up for life.

Chandra and Lily both are, along with Pia. There's also references to Archer, The Mummy, Silent Hill, Valkyria Chronicles, Resident Evil, and a fair few others tucked away in there.
Daaaamn, Sunset's on mental and psychological life support by this point.
Let's thin that strand just a bit more shall we?!?
11064009
You mean anymore than she already will be? You don't go through shit like that and not be fucked up at least a little bit and sunset has been on the front on it all getting the worst of the worst...
Bravo on writing a story I have not been able to stop binge reading. 9/10 excellent job.
If I were an Enclave armorer, I’d give a newbie like Luna a plasma scattergun. Powerful, yet doesn’t require much accuracy or skill to hit your target(s).
Doctor Mercer.... Matthew Mercer?
