Well, there are already so many Sonic/mlp crossover, but almost none with batman or spiderman...
I mean, Sonic is obviously a good choice for the universe of Mlp, he is funny, colorful, good guys and all, but a character like spiderman would be a original (and maybe better) option. Sonic is already close to the design of the ponies, but a human being... I don't even think about the interaction with lyra, the "equestria girls" mirror... For a first encounter, Batman is not a good idea i think, but later in your story, sure!
I won't lie, i just hope to see these 3 characters anyway :P

As Peirha said, there's something wrong with "The system". I wish I could've given him more screen time, but I have a set schedule of events and he was chosen for this one.

Bastion and Ganymede of that universe are deleted from existence. They are gone for good.
Sonic's body remains in Equestria, but his soul was transferred to a new body and he was sent back to his dimension.
Ghost Rider was simply put back into his dimension.
So really the only ones that are "dead" are Bastion and Ganymede.
