fluttershy sunset and ________ the next chapter is going to be fun.
1 kilometer per hour = 0.621 mile per hour => 145kph = 90 mph.
1 mile per hour = 1.609 kilometer per hour => 145mph = 233 kph.
I've actually driven a car @ 140 mph.
I've also driven a tractor-trailer @ 80 mph.
Best welcome back gift ever.
In the words of general ackbar "It's a trap" I got a feeling agent Cody backed of to give them a false sense of security he's gonna show up his last day to catch them off guard. I mean she waited a week to target him then she didn't here from ______ for 3 days so this is day 10-11 he still has like 3 days before he has to be on the plane back to the CIA. I could be reading into it to much but I think vinyl needs to be saved it's pretty shady were she's working right now.
And now everyone gets their ride... gosh darn
huh there were like 2 or 3 of these in this chapter where there is a mention of 'me'
OH also
THAT was funny
and Flutters reunion with Goldie
great work duder
With all of the fanciest ketchups?

Of course, but... wait, are you reading this backwards? I thought you were at the end? (J/k)
Interesting timing though; i’ve actually been working on polishing chapter 33 for the past few days to fix up my early
word rapewriting. (And I’m not done. I’m sure where I left off will stick out like a sore thumb)9215842
Didn't for me, or at least the story is so engaging, and I'm still so shocked that Cody didn't somehow have ten backup plans for his backup plans by virtue of being CIA, that my brain completely skipped over it.

I was pretty much done redoing that chapter by the time you read it, so there wouldn't have been much to notice.
As for Cody: yeah, a number of readers felt he left pretty fast. Some of my early writing here didn't do the best job at portraying what I was thinking, and if I were to write this section again, I would definitely make some changes (number one being Cody not blatantly parking in her driveway in plain sight; down the road, perhaps, but still within listening range--though Flutters would know exactly where he is at all times because the animals would keep her informed.
That said, I'll try to clarify a few things.
It's not so much that Cody ran out of tricks, but that he decided he was wasting his time on this stakeout--which was Sunset's plan all along. She read his mind, and she knew exactly what to do to make him think Fluttershy was a 'nothing burger,' as they say, so that he would just forget about her and move on. We even saw that he was already becoming dubious when he was sitting in the truck, just before the bug was taken out.
You mentioned the CIA losing credibility if they were this easy to trick, but when you have one girl who can read his mind without him knowing, and another girl who has him surrounded by spies who can report everything he's doing back to her in a way that cannot be intercepted, yeah, it's gonna be pretty easy to outsmart him. It wouldn't matter even if you were the best spy on Earth, you can't outwit someone with that kind of advantage--especially if you don't even realise they have it.
Still, I know this arc isn't perfectly written. One day I'll come back and clean it up. One day.
One thing's for sure: the CIA is tough to write about. I do my best to research the things I write about, but as it turns out, the CIA is quite secretive, unsurprisingly, which makes Googling them kind of hard, so a lot of the time I had no choice but to 'wing it.'
Anyway, it sounds like you've enjoyed the story for the most part. Thanks so much for reading!

Of course, EL! I've actually been enjoying the story again from the start with a fresh set of memories and a new pair of eyes, so I've been able to notice some things that 19-year old me might have missed or skipped over, or reconcile things that I previously didn't understand.

I can under stand why writing about the cia is hard hell much of the information i know comes from vets who were part of tbe special forces in vietnam cambodia and laos and boy they got the shit jobs. Since the cia basically couldent operate there they used the us special forces as their wetwork and operations field units. The things they had to do man yeesh. But i can tell you this you did very well writing cody with what little information that is out there on the CIA and how they work trust me i know. Good job on this story im loving it so far.
