I would say, given when Glimmer mind controlled Shy and she picked up all the creepy crawlies in Twilights castle, that either this bunker is psychotic in its decontamination methods, meaning everyone entering it is not only stripped but purged, and rooms are made so they can be plasma cleaned in a manner to prevent missing places or allowing recontamination, or more likely, Shy has juust been hit with first stage interogation, that of disorientation, which she hasnt been trained to ignore yet, and so is thinking too hard and just cant hear the low level noise of very weak signal minds of resident arthropods etc.
Spider silk is increadibly strong, wet silk even more so.
As far as I can work out, even though apparently no damage occurs, OC has got faster and stronger over the centuaries because he can stress his muscles, nerves and bones to breaking point, because they wont, and keep them there because he wont fatigue, and the body responds by incresing density and strength of bones and muscles, flexure of joints, and neuron connections and myelin insulation in brain etc to increase memories, recall, and response speeds. When stationary, tensing muscles together to not cause movement but retain the stress, trigggers the same effect. just depends how fast Shys magic variation body responds.
What would be even crazier and expected due to magic, if in tantric? stressing, she can absorb some aspects of animals, to understand new gaits and ways of moving for increased speed, jump height, length etc.
Sunset is going to have a heck of a time with those eyes, never mind facial recognition and fingerprint scanners.

I have reached the current chapter
I must say, for a story I randomly chose to read on a whim, I've fallen in love with it. A very interesting take on the life of one who lives with one of the extreme variations of immortality, and the as seen a few chapters back, its downsides. It's actually quite interesting, with a story of characters that don't really need sleep, and instead have the days blurred together, to the point that slow or fast pacing could be accepted, you've kept it grounded and meandering to a slice of life pace. The self-insert is kind of a fun element to the story play, though I don't have the level of knowledge [Blank] has, to role-play as this ancient sentinel of badassery, is awesome. Looking at the dates between updates, gives me relief to know this story is unlikely to fall into writers hell anytime soon.
So, fav'd n liked, and I think I'll drop in a follow to keep an eye out for anything else you might make, it feel like this'll be series and the end is drawing near.

Hey thanks for the little review, it is much appreciated. I'm glad you and others are enjoying it. When I started this I was honestly pretty self conscious of my writing style because I've never taken a writing course of any kind, and the last fictional story I wrote was in the 8th grade...and that's a long fuckin time ago. lol So I know my wording can be choppy sometimes, but I try my best to keep the story as descriptive and compelling as I can, and I try to make the character dialogue as life-like as I can.
I'm glad the story is being enjoyed, to be honest I'm writing it just for something to do...and it's been lots of fun, but also tough at times. The section I just finished writing was quite ambitious, but I think it came out pretty well. Time will tell, once you guys read it you will let me know I'm sure.

I feel like I should finally point out something about Fluttershy's magic in this particular story. No, she isn't able to communicate with bugs, spiders, amoebas, bacteria, etc. I know the Pegasus Fluttershy could, based on the episode 'Every Little Thing She Does' in which she is covered with spiders and centipedes, etc. as mentioned in your comment. This is why there has been no mention in this story of Fluttershy talking to anything other than animals, birds, etc. and not insects or spiders, etc.
The main reason I left it out is because 1: in Legend of Everfree there is no mention of her communicating with bugs, and I personally never saw a reason to assume her communication with animals was identical to her Pegasus counterpart, especially given the fact that the other girls' magic differed from their pony counterparts quite widely.
2: While it is an interesting ability to speculate on the range of what she could be capable of, such as you mentioning that she could make someone sick and die with a mere thought by commanding bacteria of viruses to give them a disease...and that's cool and all, but don't think it makes for good story telling. I feel the character needs to have vulnerabilities in order to encounter challenges and hardships, having her be able to kill anyone with a mere thought makes it very difficult to come up with a conflict for her, at least in this type of story it does.
Now, I don't want to discourage open-minded discussion in the comments section, because I do enjoy your thought-provoking entries. I just wand to point out that me ignoring her talking to insects and micro-organisms is not an oversight, it's just not an ability she has in this story, and I never intended it to be.
As for Sunset...well, I just finished writing that part Thursday night...and holy shit it was an undertaking. As it turns out, the CIA is not very forthcoming about giving away information about the HQ, which I learned very quickly on Google. I wanted it to be as true to life as I could, without just completely just making shit up...and I think I figured out a pretty good solution, but there were some creative liberties that had to be made, so it may not be 100% realistic...but come on, it's the CIA! If I could figure out how to break into it realistically in writing, then in theory I could do it in real life, which I can't.
You guys wouldn't believe the hours I've spent on google searches, google maps and street view, scouting locations that the story takes place in the upcoming chapters so that I could describe the environments accurately and keep the intrigue alive. And I have learned a shit-ton of things from researching for this story...it's actually been a very interesting experience so far.
I hope you enjoy it what lies ahead.
8083278 So the next chap is coming soon, yay~
Cause honestly, I've been veering away from reading here in favor of diving into my hobby of reading translated asian light novels, before this I found a site with stories with over 200+ translated chapters each, suffice to say a week and lack of sleep later, I've read over 1k chapters of story. Thus I stumbled on you for my reader's fix.
She might be physically unbreakable now, but mental strength is another matter entirely. Please, for your own sake, survive until ___ can find you...
Now THAT explains the cover art of story.
