It has to be intentional: It's spelled correctly in the description, and "u" and "e" are not next to each other on a qwerty keyboard. I can't begin to speculate why such a choice would have been made, but it has to be intentional.
Old school "hooked on phonics" at work here people. A system that teaches you spell out how it sounds isn't very accurate.
