It has been 1000 years since Luna returned from the Moon and Twilight Sparkle was anointed 'Princess of Friendship' and in those 1000 years, many things have changed. The Mane 6s lives have come and gone, and two of the kingdoms of Equestria have fallen to the land's many foes. It is an age of Darkness to contrast the previous era of Friendship.
Will Luna be able to turn things around with help from her sister? or will she find herself pitted against an enemy she would never have guessed..?

The next chapter is finally out! Sorry it took so long, but I got stuck at a certain part until I was inspired to make a change to a couple of the characters (some changes are greater than others). I felt that Luna's assistant deserved a slightly more important role than just some background pony, and before now hadn't given the character much thought. That mixed with the fact that I ended up wanting to use 'Miles' as the name for a different character, I decided to take the risk and make the change.
Let me know what you guys think about the chapter length, too! I try and keep it between 1000 and 5000 words per chapter but I have been letting the chapters end whenever I feel the general message the chapter was meant to tell has been delivered.

I fixed what I was able to notice in the description, but if I still missed something let me know. I have read through these chapters several times already myself, but I am sure there is still stuff I am missing and I am not exactly the most well versed in the art of grammar. I am still looking for proofreaders, but the only person to accept so far hasn't really done any editing.
As far as depth goes, I admit these chapters are a bit rushed. I have always had a lot of ideas for what I want to put into the story and I might have missed a few opportunities for character or world building in my attempt to get to those ideas. I've actually thought about writing another story before this one to help build the world a bit more.
