The Great and Powerful Trixie meets up with Twilight Sparkle by chance, and things seem to be going good between the two ponies. They manage to shake off any bad memories they had of each other, and what seems like a beautiful friendship starts to form between them.
However, by some twist of fate, Trixie happens to stumble upon a suspicios stallion in black clothing performing some kind of blackmail transaction, and doesn't notice his accomplice sneaking up behind her before it's too late.
After being forced to take a strange drug that was meant to kill her, Trixie awakes to find herself a little filly again, and with the help of her friend Doctor Whooves, she keeps her identity a secret whilst hunting down the stallions in black, for fear that being found out may put her and anypony connected to her at risk.
Trixie as Detective Connan?

Interesting fusion premise, MLP/Detective Conan. Are you following Manga or Anime? And how close will you be following the storyline? Word for word or just in general with the occasional case thrown in? You've peaked my interest here.

I follow both Anime and Manga ^_^
In terms of how close this will folow the actual storyline, it's pretty much just gonna be the main plot of Detective Conan (so the fight against the Black Organization and various groups/ponies joining in along the way), with a few extra cases to introduce characters and form relations between them. So basically it won't take take like 100 chapters before we finally see Gin and Vodka again. They'll probably be back in Chapter 3.
Okay, so we've got Trixie/Conan, Doc Hooves/Professor Agasa and Detective Megure. So are you making the CMC as Genta, Mitsuhiko and Ayumi? Oh, Wait! Twi's gonna be Ran, isn't she? Are you going to throw in an 'Ai' as well?
